As a MAJOR procrastinator, I like to start the day with a tiny/easy task, before going to the big/hard one. That way you get your butt moving, and move onto the hard task *first* by tricking your brain to just START (with the easy task). Does anyone else do this, or do other people just get to it?

I do this all the time. Same reasoning too.

I am beginning to realize that I have to do this to do daunting things like ...*gasp*...writing! If I REALLY don't feel like it, I lie to myself and say that I only need to put down one sentence. Just one. Once I start to think about the project, I get lost in imagination land for a couple hours and write more than I thought I could. I need to be able to do this consistently though, and I think having a set time for writing is the way to go.

Thanks for the list! I try to wake up by 5am everyday and immediately put on my workout clothes for the gym. Before I do absolutely anything I either do a cardio class or lift weights for an hour and then shower and get started with my day. For me that ensures 1) I get my daily workout in (obviously I do miss some days but this method ensures I workout at least 5 days every week) and 2) It sets the tone for the day that I’m not going to wallow in research and social media and instead I’m going to just get things ✅ done

I love all of your videos. Especially the productivity ones. I have been struggling with writing my book for nearly two years now. I just wish I would have figured out that I wanted to be a writer before I had kids that way I could have found my writer flow. Maybe when my kids are in school I will finally get that book written.

Kris, have you used drop box to save and share your manuscripts? I have 2 proofreaders and Editors lined up. I plan on using drop box for this purpose. Any suggestions? I work full time in a Hospital, am the bread winner of my family, My goal is to finish my 9 book ideas and to be a writer full-time. Thank you for the content, you inspire me!!!

Awesome to have content while you are busy travelling! Given my 1st chapter is in that pile of 10, every time you said "Now I'm going to read those chapters" my heart skipped a beat and I'm so so curious to know whether mine was one of the three. Gah! And I can't wait to hear what you think - or to meet you & Kaila in person x

Hi.how does it feel to watch the series ,movie or short story bases on book first then read the actual book. Cuz i feel like if i watch it then no point on reading it.

Hi Veronica: I totally know what you mean and that's how I feel about the Hallmark movies that are later made into a book but this totally different. This author is seriously a genius at SciFi world-building. It's so complex and intricate that reading the book made it so much better. Like I understood more about what was happening in the story. Plus, as an author it was great research on how to do world-building in this genre the right way.

Hey your schedule looks like mine. Of course mine is more centered around other arts like sculpting and drawing. But as you can see for yourself my writting skills needs work. I love all arts, but the closes thing I have to a main focus is pastels as a medium, which means I am good at everything but not realy great at anthing. Anyways, I have all your books and am a huge fan, still havent read your lattest (shadow crown), but being a full time student, full time single father of two, and working leaves me with not much time. Honestly this is just a excuse to write something. I am reading The Clean coder, for a programmer (oh yeah I love to program) there is not a more important book you can read.
