I hope Ruggedmade is oaying attention, they have a couple splitters on youtube that have basic mods on them that everyone wants, yet crickets from the company. log lift, worktable, auto cycle, adjustable wedge, additional foot stabilizer for weight, removeable / reversible tow hitch.. would be a perfect splitter

We are definitely paying attention Kenny! This channel, along with a few others, is one of our favorite channels (along with the comment sections) to keep up with and get insight for our machines from the people that put them to the test. We do have log lifts and worktables available on our site and are working to create even better machines for the future.

I have a rugged made splitter also and want to put on a autocycle,on your next vodeo can you show where all the lines go my ram valve is the first one where you put the autocycle, but im not quite sure where all the lines go,thanks
@OutsidewithScheib2 жыл бұрын
The A and D ports will be Tied together at the Rod end of the cylinder with a Tee the B port just goes to the clevis or welded end. Then your power beyond if you get one would tie into the other valves but then you will need a return for the autocycle valve itself which would be tied in with your main return with a tee or get a sae16 plug for the power beyond port and tie the return into the other valves like I basically did. if you don't get the power beyond you just tie the valves together like normal.

My ruggedmade 37 ton bogs a lot when I use my log lift. I think it has something inline to control the speed of the lift. What kind of handle knobs are you going to put on the new valve handles ???
@OutsidewithScheib2 жыл бұрын
The problem with the log lift is the holes in the ports are 1/4 inch and they have 1/2 inch lines going to it it’s a lot of restriction. Not sure yet I’ll have to look

So how close to a home build is the rugidmade now... Switched log lift, refab table, adjustable wedge, landing gear and dolly, various handles...
@OutsidewithScheib2 жыл бұрын
Andy when I bought this machine I had intentions of putting an adjustable wedge on it, all the other stuff just fell into place as I seen to make it better for my application. Doing the adjustable wedge saved me at the time 3k from a Wolfe ridge. The log lift from factory could be put on either side. The rear tow point is necessary. Cost was nothing. The new landing gear or support leg is a much better design and was needed in conjunction with rear tow just to be able to put a trailer jack on. The auto cycle with all parts needed was roughly 600 bucks . So I would say it isn't homer built just a Frankenstein machine with ideas from other splitter designs.
@andystampfli91272 жыл бұрын
@@OutsidewithScheib my comment wasn't meant to put your splitter down.thr fact that for a few bucks and hard work you were able to make a splitter comparable to a Wolfe ridge is more of my point. It started as a rugged made and has evolved
