Other than getting the hose connector turned around (watch out for that one), the machine is simple to put together and use kzbin.infoUgkxfQauTxLT0JLSvqkq10rD79TU4k0Vz8zP . And very nice, too. I'm surprised at the power-it's more than we'll ever need, and we've not even used the most powerful setting yet.I've cleaned off a dirty concrete porch to get it ready for sealing, started to clean siding, and I know this pressure washer will be terrific for cleaning tools this fall.The only issue we had is we had turned around the hose connector, and it leaked. Once it was on correctly, though, we had no problems with the connection. Just remember that the end with the green knob goes towards the hose. It's obvious now what we did wrong, but not necessarily obvious at the time.

@@HawaiiDetailing So I currently have karcher K1700 cube. However I'm renting so can't add a faucet into my garage. My current faucet is outside my garage at the front of my house about 15metres away. I was wondering if you think I should mount a hose reel (for my actual hose, not hose for my pressure washer to spray gun) on the wall next to me pressure washer have it connected and then just drag the other end out to my faucet. Or just have a hose reel mounted at my faucet and drag the hose to my pressure washer. Sorry if this is confusing😂

It moves a very small amount after using it for a while. I have the high pressure hose from the reel to the Karcher zip tied under the shelf so that prevents most of the movement. That looks like a wicked set up. I’m doing my garage now, and wondering if you’re able to give me measurements on heights for your shelf and tap for the pressure washer and distances? I’ve got not drywall up yet and only framework, yet I need to order the cube from the states as here in Australia, we don’t have it and I don’t want to guess locations of this before I sheet the walls.
@HawaiiDetailing3 жыл бұрын
I have a video coming out really soon with all my thoughts on layout of a PW system. Do a dry fit on the ground first to get these measurements. The short answer is mount the reel at a comfortable height for you to use. That is the most important piece. Next put the shelf above it at a distance that leaves room to use the reel but not soo much of a gap that it will look bad. I like it to be just s few inches apart. Next layout the electric and plumbing to meet the needs of your equipment. I suggest using a general location that will work well with any future ungraded equipment (future proof). Hope that helps.

@@HawaiiDetailing I can’t wait. My walls are half ready, but I will wait for your video to use a reference. I don’t have a cox reel like yours though. That looks great, really good video. I may have to go with the 1700 on the cart since I may not be able to connect my water in the garage for now. Would I be able to at a later time get rid of the cart and turn that system into a cube so that I can mount it on the wall ??

That I don’t know. I would make sure that it is able to be taken apart to an acceptable level before you buy it. Thanks for watching.

Love the video! This is exactly what I am looking to do in my garage. I just bought the Karcher Cube and now I am trying to map out a plan to run a new water line off my outside hose bib just outside my house through the wall and into my garage. I have been looking at the Sharkbite products (piping, connections, and spigots.) The Sharkbite spigot you use says online in some of the reviews that it only has a 1/2 inlet inside even though its a 3/4 outside. Does this affect the Karcher pressure washer you are using since its reduced down to only 1/2 of water flow at the spigot?
@HawaiiDetailing2 жыл бұрын
No not at all. Even a commercial electric PW only uses 2 gallons per minute and the 1/2” will deliver way more than that. It will work for sure. You can always go for 3/4 if you want. Hope that helps. Thanks for watching

Does that 2' Jumper Hose replace the pressure washer's outlet? Or is there an adapter to go from the outlet into the jumper hose?

There is an M22 to 3/8 plug adapter.

Wondering how you painted the Karcher? How did you remove the cover. I removed the soap dispenser, then removed 6 screws but it still didn’t come loose?
@HawaiiDetailing2 жыл бұрын
After you find the screws it snaps off. Be careful not to break it while piping it off. Sorry I don’t have more it’s been a while since I did that paint job.

Really great setup! I’d call it way better than OG spec! The only thing I would do different is drill through the shelf, set in a rubber grommet, and run the outlet hose from the machine through the hole to the reel. Soooo nitpicky, but hey you asked.🤣😁

How did you mount the hose reel? Did you use toggle bolts against the drywall?

@@HawaiiDetailing which screws are they? Thanks!
@HawaiiDetailing3 жыл бұрын
@@mykey06 they are in the back holding the faceplate on. Look around good. There are only a few back there. I remember taking all the ones off that looked like they would hold the faceplate on. I ended up finding a few not so easy to see screws that were holding it on. There is really no risk to unscrewing all of them that might be holding it on. It kinda has to be pulled a little to unclip even after the screws are out. Sorry it been a while since I took it apart. If you are still having trouble let me know and I will take a closer look at mine and help you figure it out. Hope that helps.
