Great setup, this is my dream setup for detailing. How hard was it to run the plumbing and repair the drywall to make it look clean? Did you hire a contractor or did you do it yourself? I need to repair the drywall in my garage so I can reinstall my CR systems deionizer but I need to reattach one of the cylinders because it sprays water when the valves are open because it’s not sealed properly.

Hi Pan. Will going to automatic touchless carwashes from time to time damage my ceramic coating/paint.

I never recommend going to automated car washes (and NEVER go to the ones with rollers/brushes, those are even worse!) as they use very harsh chemicals with high pH to try and clean your car. So eventually, it will weaken any protection including ceramic coatings when used multiple times. The best solution is always to wash your car at home using safe washing and drying methods. If you can't wash your car yourself, I would recommend bringing it to a professional detailer to have it done the right way.

Oh it gets tons of use. The place is rented out to people every week. He's booked for a full year. People rent this mansion from Matt (he bought this house to rent to people so they can enjoy everything he likes). But he vets the people ahead of time, and the people who rent, are usually OCD about cleaning and organizing just like Matt and I are, so the keep the place pristine. For the Extreme OCD. As far as those spray bottles. Wrong bottle design. Try use those. That stay and shape just fall over. To be honest. My favorite bottle design is Griots. Wide base, and slowly narrows to the top. Griots also makes the best foam canon with that wide base and wide mouth.

Hey Pan long time viewer here. You’ve inspired me to begin a new side business in mobile detailing. So far I have learned a lot from you and use many of your techniques. I’ve had 2 customers so far and it’s been very rewarding work. I need some help though. One of my customers have a 2019 audi rs5 and they complained that their previous detailer did something to what looks like the aluminum wheels. Now they have the ugly looking water spots or something. Perhaps they used a harsh chemical but it looks like it damaged the wheels. What can I do to get these spots out of the wheels for the customer? Any advice or ideas would be appreciated.

It's hard to answer your question as I don't see the wheels in person and don't really know exactly what that other detailer did. At this point, you'll have to try a few things. You could try a water spot remover (the simplest but less aggressive method) first, and see if that works. Something like this: bit.ly/3NDYO2F Then, depending on the wheel finish, you likely will have to machine polish the water spots out. Or, tell the customer to go and have his wheels entirely refinished at a wheel restoration place.

For polishing the wheels what should I use to perhaps try and remove these ugly spots what chemical would you recommend? . I washed the wheels throughly and those spots stayed. I always love watching your show an like to tell other people about your show too. What is the shelf life of Ceramic/Graphene please? ( paste/liquid) I got the Chemical Guys Hydro Slick, Very happy with the slickness, But it is jelly in which I don,t like much. Maybe just have to get use to it? I tried to see videos, but not much information.

Thanks Glenn! The average shelf life for detailing chemicals is one to two years, if kept in stable conditions, and never frozen. I am not a fan of the HydroSlick line. This is a pro garage. I love this. I’ve a question 🙋‍♂️. As a beginner in detailing business, which of this is quite better before the other. (1) is it better to have a garage(workshop) first, then as the business grows you can now get a van to start detailing in many places? Or (2) is it better to setup a van first and start detailing in many places then as the business grows, you can now build a one location garage (workshop)? PAN pls ur help is needed here. I’ve small money on me and want to start my own detailing business. Is it advisable to start with a van first or to start in a workshop? Pls help 🙏
