I think these figures are really good for customizers especially Prowl. Them being made clear plastic free ensures they wont crumble when removing the paint, theyre already scarred bodies work well if you wish to make a battle scarred character, if you dont like how they look you can simply swap parts with their other molds, and their cheap price point ensures you can get another one if you mess up, or wish to make another! I can for sure say that as someone whos been wanting to make a v8 interceptor themed custom of the Earthrise datsun mold, but never got to it since the shins were pure clear.

Having transformed both 86 Ratchet and Ironhide with the solid and clear plastic tabs a lot of times for the sake of testing their durability, Ive found that its easier to transform the feet first and then tackling the arms/sides. To get the side panels done, untab the arms from each other if possible and unclip the tabs in the same motion while swinging the arms out to the side. Hope this helps for anyone who has these figures

I got dead Prime and keep the all spark in his forearm to keep him alive. I also got it because its the closest we have to silver Optimus from the Hate Plague episodes. I would not get other dead characters however

bought both these sets for cheap, and i absolutely love them both. more blast effects are always nice, and given how fragile the original release of Ironhide and Ratchet can be, this is definetelly the better option. i'd rather have my corpse pre packaged than custom thank you very much

That problem with the front of the van is so real. It took me a couple hours after the con I picked dead ironhide up at, I was messing with him while walking around too so no I wasn't just leaving it in the bag and then playing with it after a while, I was actively trying to transform it while walking around and I couldn't tab those together. He makes good posing Shockwave though as an accessory, a corpse to stand on for him. God it's funny to have bought him and legacy chase at the same con together and them being the only two I could pick up from there being a cop and a dead body

feel like these two packs were such a misstep. they wouldve probably sold out if the figures were exactly the same with the slightly better paint aps and no clear plastic, but alive. instead they made it so that the only options for a g1 prowl are the $200 earthrise exclusive or the lifeless expression of his agonizing final moments. I just want to know who thought these would sell well. its not like optimus’ death which is an iconic moment of the franchise and was drawn out, these four are just casualties of war dying without glory or respect

Never been a fan of these figures. I get their purpose as a snapshot of a iconic/traumatizing moment in the franchise, but collecting "offline cybertronians" feels more like making due with them until a better version is released. It doesnt help that the pastel blue on the windows look ugly. Are they better than clear plastic that is stressed during transformation and cartoon accurate, absolutely. But personally they always looked bad in person.
