That sounds cool. I saw a Y2k motorcycle with a jet ranger turbine engine start up, it was really cool too. That exhaust looks a little sketchy though.

I had one of these engine but attached to a water pump, IS60. Mine was hand-started though so it was turning a handle geared in such a way that you needed around 4000rpm before the ignitors would tick and then flick the swtich to the fuel pump and off she went. Used to melt th tarmac if i started it near some.

This is a turbine, same principal as a jet. These are used to generate electricity, power ships and battle tanks. They can run on natural gas, diesel fuel, virtually any light oil. Chrysler experimented building a turbine powered car in the very late fifties or early sixties.

griphy Deltawing yes, but front drive is nothing new to LeMans. They just played with aerodinamics. Isnt it?

I never said they reinvented the wheel. We are talking about different in the way that most major manufactures are playing it safe in their P1 program. What Nissan did at the top level of motorsport was exactly what he describe, playing differently than the norm at the risk of not being succesful.

I couldn't take my eyes off the air intakes. Looks like they were made by first year metal shop students. Function over form I guess :)
