I bought Figo in 2018 (Diesel) top variant... and quite happy with performance. It gives me 16 kmpl in city and 25 kmpl on highways (with AC). It is solid car for sure !!!!

This car is cheaper than the overrated Swift + It is way more safe with 6 airbags and A better engine than any other car in it's segment (except the polo) And the Sync 3 system. Wow. (Sad it misses out on Apple Carplay and Android Auto) Maintenance also won't be and issue . It dosen't cost as much as a Volkswagen and on par with Maruti on service costs Well done Ford India 👍

The interface is intentionally kept similar to the sync3 so that owners of titanium and below versions of Ecosport freestyle can be fooled by sales people who will conveniently forget to disclose to customers about the lack of Android auto and apple carplay and all other safety additions (emergency calling etc.)

what is happening with ford ? first the news of the company leaving India . that was managed to certain extent. And then, again , the DPF issue . why doesn't it come clear on what's cooking inside ? the DPF is not fake , but a genuine issue since my friend is facing it and has suggested me to keep away from any ford diesel model. being a prospective Eco sport buyer, i am forced to hold on to my decision. any help in this regard ?

Lol polo good? Typical shallow brand snob.. Volkswagen has good driving experience, sporty performance, good aesthetics, premium feel fit and finish. But dont mistake yourself with claims of "Das German engineering" when it comes to reliability, cost of maintainence and repair; Indians tend to care about these things and that is what true engineering is about. This is not just in India though. Volkswagen have similar or even worse reputation in other countries like USA. They were caught cheating on emissions which tells what kind of engineers they are. Swift is actually a globally respected car by auto journalists. James May called it is favourite hatch recently in drive tribe episode. True though the india variant has concerning compromises(and we dont get the Swift sport which would even give a golf gti a run for its money) stil theyre good cars.

The Ford cars are still decently reliable, provide a much higher feel-good factor for the price, and the top variants are great in safety features as well. Also, Ford servicing is still relatively affordable. Why are people still buying overrated Maruti Suzuki cars then? The Swift is especially way too costly.
