Well it’s a $3000+ option for the laser lights so I can see why some people won’t get it lol. Either way I think it should come standard smh. The angel eye part is literally just the DRL and has nothing to do with the lasers.

Completely get how he felt the RS5 felt more stable at high speed, it’s something I have always noticed that separates RS Audis from M BMWs, very Beemer I have had would wander as if the rubber size was too wide for the rims and this continues with my current M5. I hate how fanboys have to say their brand is better than the other, these are two completely different animals and yet their respective performance figures aren’t a million miles apart, simply choose which appeals to you most... what could be simpler.

FWD platforms as a whole are more 'stable' at speed due to the front wheels' tendency to straighten when power is applied. Having said that, my E92, which has a proper 50:50 balance unlike the front-bias of modern BMWs, has never once 'wandered' at speed. Sounds like your M5 may have an underlying issue.

@@gw7624 my first M car was an E92 M3 and yes it too would move about a little bit on motorways. The M5 is the current model so AWD it’s the least affected of all.

Thanks guys @ Autogefuhl! I really look forward to these types of comparisons! The equally paired upper sports coupes are so difficult to attain @ the same time! If these were the "mid" level of sports coupes...I'd take the M440 over the S5. However this all changes with these top spec'ed models. The RS 5 gets the nod today. That too may change if the M4 was in the all wheel drive configuration! THAT would be a spectacular comparison to be sure!

RS5 sportback for me in nardo grey or dark blue. I dont care how good drives the BMW the audi is beautifull, comfy sporty enought. The lights on the Audi are next level. If you want the best driving car in this segment get the giulia QV its a true RWD sport sedan and its much cheaper than the M3/M4. For every day get the RS5 or RS5 sportback.

Great job BMW and Audi for still keeping quality physical controls alongside the touchscreens. Especially Audi who made a natural evolution of climate control by improving the LCD information. Simple to read settings (white on black) with useful information. I would only wish for getting manual transmission. Yes the automatic is faster and lasier but there is no satisfaction you get from manual shifting into gears.

Thomas, another great review, I love the comparison reviews. Both are great looking cars. I would choose the RS5, actually the S5 and save a few dollars. I completely agree with you - give me actual physical knobs for climate control. I wish Audi still had the control wheel for the infotainment screen, so you do not have to always use the touch screen - eyes on the road (safety first as you like to say).

how is the DRC? I had the 21' RS5 with the fixed sport suspension, and hated how bouncy it was. got rid of it after 9 months. looking to get back in one with DRC, hopping it will be much better over crappy roads.

Thomas - Bravo!!! Great comparison review. Tough choice....how about one each for the family (his & hers)? ;) Personally, I prefer silver wheels over the black for myself. Black rims do look nice, however. Personal preference. ?: Of the latest BMWs, which has the best steering feel, in your opinion? I'm still driving my 08 128i coupe' 3.0l and I'm loving my hydraulic power assist steering. The EPS systems don't appeal to me (after driving a few late model 3 series). Gimme the road feel! Ciao!
