They are f*cking awesome machines, and the art of making these should be brought back, but i wouldn't trust them enough to not put them in a barricaded closest at night. They are so eerily similar to the real things they imitate, as to have dropped into the uncanny valley...

Despite the outbreak of digital technology, I think there will be a time in the future where clockwork technology will make a bigger comeback because of its fascination. Gears and cogs turning is a very cool and fascinating thing to watch and the art of making them is just as beautiful. Me being a clockwork and steampunk fan, I think it's fun tinkering with clocks and other mechanical instruments. Sure, it won't completely replace electronic devices, but I think they will come back eventually

I hope old school tech comes back and saves us from Digital World. I’m a manufacturer of gears from India and I’m Highly intrigued by the concept of automatons. Glad we share same choices.

When I was still in 3rd grade my dream is to built an automata because of a certain anime I watched and I'm in high school now and it is still one of my dreams cause I'm really interested in them they work without electricity the it looks like they were build by aliens. I want to build an automata that can play 10 different types of music.

I once saw such an intriguing daily activity behind a hospital. Some kind of mechanical person & a dog walked clickwise around a track & a mechanical blackbird swooped left to right, following a direct course. This took place every day. I went back to track it down but it wasn't there. What was it? Dog training?
