I just started listening to your videos , i am restoring a 65 mustang . I related to your brutal honesty about paying up front for body work. You were dead on righf. We gave a skumbag 3k to start some work on our car, long story short he never did nothing for 4 months and left our car outside. Finally like you said , small claims court but we had gotten 3k back less the towing costs and just the idea of being lied to on a weekly basis. So now im doing it myself. Lesson well learned. Fuck em all. 😃

My wife had a total knee replacement , took 45 mins ! It was the surgeons 9th one that day ! I said man you’ll have a drive through soon ! I asked my wife a year after how was it ? She said “ it feels mechanical………😂😂😂😂😂 she expected it to feel like the original knee……Surgeon told us it’s not about feeling exactly like the original , it’s about eliminating the pain…………❤️

I'm currently installing the American Autowire harness kit in a 1980 Bronco. It's an awesome kit, I second every word Pete says. It's not inexpensive but it is high quality. May seem overwhelming when you open the box, just follow the directions and open one package at a time and work with that until you need the next package. Outside of being high quality one thing I really like about the kit is that every wire is labeled, not a cheap sticker label but every wire has printed label right on the wire insulation in multiple locations. Highly recommended if you want to update your entire wiring setup.

Thanks Pete for the clarification on the two different harnesses as I remember your older review on Kwik Wire and then noticed you were using American Auto wire. I have a 31 Model a street rod and went with Kwik Wire. As a first timer their support was outstanding. I got a painless many years ago for a 74 camaro and i don't remember the instructions being this detailed like this American Autowire. That is awesome how it takes away the mystery away if you really sit down and study this diagram.

Pete, I can't even imagine how much all those stitches hurt from your knees! I had 9 staples in the front of my left lower front leg from sliding on ice. well it should have been stitches, the staples were a total screwup and i had to have that cut out and stiches all over again - nothing like doing it twice. Wow that hurt. 4 weeks later! But im sure its not even close to your surgery! I remembered how you said to get moving after the surgery and that helped me a lot. Names Joe, obwan is like a handle I use to buy parts and Stuff.

Hello Pete , I understand when you say you don’t wrap the wiring until you check that everything is correct and working. With that said isn’t it difficult to access the wiring once it’s run to wrap ?

The quality of the kits components speaks volumes. As you have said, getting instruction is an indicator of the company you are dealing with. Before buying, ask about warranty but customer service. Can I call someone for help? Do they live in the US and speak clear English? Many say yes, but have a thick accent that I cannot understand. Wether I am in Indiana, Nebraska, Colorado or Utah, our ears cannot understand accents when someone is speaking or volume. They wear headsets with movable microphones and place closer to their mouth, yet still speak like a mouse! I have hearing loss from loud shops. Hearing aids are not cheap and if under a vehicle on a creeper do the fall off? The over-the-ear type scare me as most of the weight is pinched between the skull and cartilage of the ear. How do these not fall down and come off if you are doing serious work then welding helmets or a hat sit right where the are. Pete, I want guys and gals to wire their cars, learn, have that experience and reward when done. I think it's great. I hope your knees are getting better everyday. We where waiting for Christmas, then New Years and already the 10th. God bless both, Minnie's trip to the "Holly Land" will be here before we know it. Get a coffee mug, long sleeve tee shirt or something like a hoodie for these cold months of early - mid winter. Minnie deserves her group trip to walk the path the Jesus walked almost 2123 year ago! Ive done some wiring on my vintage motorcycles. Half the time my bullet connector crimps turn out awesome and half the time they look like total crap...and I'm not sure why. I feel like I'm doing it the same way every time. I have a couple different crimper tools and the same thing happens with either one.

Every vehicle, even the new ones are nothing but a big light bulb! Every circuit has a power supply, ground switch and a "load device". That load device is the light bulb. I preach this to the guys I direct every day. Once you understand how and what the circuit does, you can fix or build any wiring harness ... I would definitely go with the most complete set up as possible! Painless sucks for sure. Use the "for your car" harness. Otherwise your pretty much building your own harness! Painless just gives you the wire.

any info? I'm restoring a 65 lemans/gto. the radio was changed out by former owner & they cut the dash out to fit an aftermarket radio. Now I want to put the original radio back. Where can i find a piece to weld back in or should I just try to make it. thanks.
