David! Tell Toyota they should’ve went TTV6 on the LC even thought that’s also in GX. LC is more similar to 4R in many ways and it should be more similar to GX. TTV6, E KDSS and 3rd row would justify the Land Crusier Trim being the same price point as the PRO and Trailhunter 4R will be. Otherwise I’m paying more for and LC to get different styling and full time 4WD and that’s too much more money for just those things

Even the replay is glitch city. Great idea for differentiation though. Like the vehicle. Front end is plenty different than the Tacoma while recognizable as a 4Runner. If it wasn’t broke, Toyota didn’t try to fix it, turbo-4 aside.

It will be interesting to see whether the sliding rear seat was quietly taken away same way Toyota did on going to the 4th gen Rav4- I know it's a boring feature, but that feature alone adds so much space and allows you to convert valuable space between the cargo area to rear legroom and back. It's the reason why we were able to keep our 3rd gen RAV4 (which actually had cargo capacity of a 4Runner) until it was time to finally upgrade for capacity.

Strange question. The hybrid is turbo. So the question is rather hybrid or not. Needing the back space taken by the battery or not? Back does not seem to lay flat, so harder solo camping.

No. Toyota owns less than 4% of Yamaha. But I believe they are in a joint relationship to develop hydrogen engines.

Everyone could easily assume the 4Runner was going to have lots of refinements. The only one that I care about is crash test worthiness. The last gen was not so good.

I see why they held this event at night. Unfortunately for Toyota the darkness could not hide the ugliness of the 6th gen. I think they should rename the 4runner the Toyota Aztek, or maybe Taco Salad (4 days old). Very disappointing.

Nearly EVERY render (and there were some bad ones) were better than the true product. Not only is it ugly, but the rear seat has less room. The cargo area has less room. The approach AND departure angle are worse. How?!
