Sir is it good to buy renault captur or duster because I am getting 2 lakh discount
@Automowheels6 жыл бұрын
Good question! The Captur's interiors are more or less same as the Duster's. On the outside the cars diifer completely. Eventually, it boils down to two things- your choice of exteriors and your purpose. The Duster has proper SUV looks and has great presence on the road. The Captur too is big, but has an MPV design. The Captur's sales never took off and probably never will. In such a case, the resale value of the car and availability of spares will suffer. The discount on Captur may look lucrative, but in the long term it may not be a good decision. In short, it's better to go for the Duster. 😊
@muhammedijas36246 жыл бұрын
Automowheels but captur spare parts are identical to duster only body design is different and there is more features offered like start stop button 17 inch alloy wheels and better dashboard design
@Automowheels6 жыл бұрын
That's true. But there could be other spares for the body and chassis, which may not be shared with the Duster. The parts may not be unavailable in the near future, but it could be a problem later. If the price difference after discount is huge and you are willing to take the risk, you can still go with the Captur.
@muhammedijas36246 жыл бұрын
Automowheels sorry price difference is 3 lakh discount for captur and how is the service cost and spare parts of renault vehicles you face any problems now what is your odo meter reading
@Automowheels6 жыл бұрын
The car is not mine, but a friend's. Service cost is average, it is not high. He already had a major accident and since he had a zero dep insurance his entire expense was covered and the car returned in a reasonable time. Compared to companies like Maruti and Hyundai, spare prices are higher. Otherwise, his car has been used for 3000+ kms and has caused no problems at all. The Captur is also a nice car but the showroom folks were not interested so much in selling it to him. So he eventually bought the Duster.

We need to run a campaign to convince Renault India to launch the new generation Duster in India. Pl. see link www.dacia.co.uk/vehicles/duster.html Only an engine upgrade here in an outdated old generation Duster is not enough to win over Kia Seltos and Hyundai Creta in Indian Market. Renault Duster is STILL THE BEST SUV which is SPACIOUS AND STURDY for proper off roading BUT new generation needs to be launched ASAP NOW AT THE SAME PRICE

How's CVT performance as in pickup, mileage, service cost. I am planning to buy but man I am in so much confusion. Should I buy a feature rich car which is under-powered (like Venue DCT) but with more money or a Duster which is best in drivability but again it's outdated. Max budget is 13L on road. I want a true SUV experience, but people say that Duster is good only with AWD version and CVT is not good
@Automowheels5 жыл бұрын
The CVT is available on the petrol variant so if you have driven it you'll realize that performance isnt really it's USP. The engine is really refined though and there is a prominent rubber band effect in the CVT. I would like to answer your true SUV question- if you are looking for a car that provides you the closest possible SUV experience- then do go for the Duster, its ride quality is amazing. However, if you are looking for quality interiors and features, even the newly launched 2019 Duster is no good compared to the competition. The Venue DCT is not all that underpowered, but dont expect SUV like credentials. I would very strongly urge you to wait for the Kia Seltos since your budget will get you one and will also give you all that you are looking for. 😊

@@Automowheels On paper Kia price would be expensive (for my budget). 1.5 CVT would be somewhat around 14.5 L and DCT 1.4 Petrol would be around 17.5L. I want to restrict my set budget or else if I will start adding 1.5L more in-order to get a very good car then I would end up buying BMW X1. I had high hopes with Duster facelift 2019, but it disappointed me. Nothing visible changes apart from grills. Interior still sucks. Just can't ignore the good drive comfort of Duster and that's why still I am considering Duster even after 8 years of launch. And in this segment I don't have much options under Automatic and that too petrol(only Venue DCT and Duster CVT). Nexon and Ecosport might be good but I don't like their appearance.
@Automowheels5 жыл бұрын
Nexon is a very capable car but has an AMT. Have you considered the XUV300? The engine packs in a lot of punch and it now comes with an AMT too.(Not sure if you're fine with an AMT). The XUV has great features too.

@@Automowheels an Suv with 180 mm ground clearance? no, thank you :D. I could consider but what's the point of buying a suv car if ground clearance itself can't do the justice which is deal breaker for me. It will be like holding back with driving even if you would be driving a suv. Also, I don't want diesel engine though. Anyways, I'm waiting for kia however I know it would be out of budget. In that case I would come back to Duster cvt. And that's why asked about mileage, service cost and maintenance and if its good car for long run or not.

Would be unfair to comment without driving any of these. Would definitely recommend a test drive of all before deciding on one. But do remember that besides the Duster, all others are 4m SUVs, hence they are not as spacious. Also, out of all 4, the Duster is definitely the most rugged and SUV like.

Hi. From the looks if it, the Captur is going to be discontinued soon. Ever since launch, Renault has not stopped giving discounts on the Captur. The plus point is you get a car better than the Duster for a good price. Negative is low resale value and probably not-so-good after sales service. My recommendation would be wait a few months and go with the new Duster which is coming up.
