Glad I got my GTS 4.0 in a stick last year. Guess if I want a similar NA/manual transmission experience in a new car it has to be a GT3 touring in the future. Barring that, a 911T as a consolation prize.

The new Carrera S would be perfect with a 6spd manual. There is nothing more satisfying than rowing your own gears, especially on a weekend drive to the coast or through the foothills.

There's probably a chance that Porsche may offer a manual in the following year, like they have done before. Right now, owners are hoarding their manuals and refusing to upgrade. Lightly used GTS and S models with a manual are selling at a big premium. Makes for a terrible time to try to pick up a CPO manual 911.

It crossed the line. The price is crazy and car is a no buy for me. They took from us the analog dial and start, no manual option and pushed the price to levels unseen. Porsche no, I am staying with 991 gen.

Don’t know how this “dot” thing got started, but it’s completely ridiculous. It’s 992 point 2, or 992 mark 2. Not “dot” 2.
@lordmaster552216 күн бұрын
Let me explain. The dot 2 is just a mid-cycle refresh of the 992 which is the current gen of 911 that replaced the previous 991 gen. The next gen will be the 993. •991.1 & 991.2 = previous 911 •992.1 & 992.2 = current 911 •993.1 & 993.2 = next gen 911

@@lordmaster5522 Small correction: the next generation will be called the 994.1 and 994.2 since the 993 moniker was already taken in the 90s. The price of a low mileage 993 Carrera S will approach that of a loaded 992.2 Carrera S.

No just someone who reads more than one source of "news"... It's literally gone down from the high in 2021, very easy to Google and see that. So, despite the actual data, do you think lower numbers year over year show things are going up? I guess corporate profits and CEO pay being at all time highs across many industries has nothing to do with any of it though. The cost of all things doesn't just rise continuously by magic...
