Another well-done video. Great job Rory. This car is the stuff of legend. The Hennessey team should be very proud and know I am and I had nothing to do with this car's development. I too am proud it exists. BTW, I am been following this car for a while but Rory's great explanation of its details makes me appreciate all the intentional engineering that went into it even me. Again, well done!

When i hear Rory asking "is 1800hp too much?", I start wondering, if people always questioned that. Like when the first car that had 100hp came out and could go like 50, if at all, have they been like: "Oh boy! Can you believe that? You can go to the grocery store in 5 minutes! Should this even be legal?!"

10:45 good point about the TCS. A well designed traction control can make even very high HP RWD cars launch and stick like they have AWD now. Just look at what Nth Moto and Calvo can do with Motec TCS on Vipers that have way more power than the F5 and can still hook up and pull hard at 50mph.

Where was was the engine made , and the interior and rest of the car ? So how does it work ? The car is fully assemble in Texas and acording to you that means that they built it complety and then disassemble it to be shiped to the states ? So a complety mounted car can't be transported ?

That arrow in front of the wheel is to drive air into the brakes, keeping them as cool as possible. Just look at the placement of the exit channel above the arrow, it points the air directly at the inside of the top of the spokes. Once that are gets disrupted by the spokes, it would be a big cloud of air covering the entire brake assembly... Keeping it cool if they were trying to stop the air to flow around the wheel, they would just have the smoke covered by a flat plate, that would be mounted to a ball bearing, and waited at the bottom. Keeping it stationary, so it to can have arrow, allowing the air to pass by the wheels without causing any additional drag... Much like the McLaren Spoedtsil has.

looks 2 much like a kit car, 2 sqaured in the rear. an expensive street car should have a luxurious interior, as the interior in no way affects performance. it's way 2 racy inside, that thick boxy display is horrendous.

Can a badge really affect air flow 🤔 to the point where the desired speed is not reached, i.e will removing a badge contribute to increased speed

yeah at higher speeds it will, for ex going 289 mph to 295 it will make a difference.... Air turbulence and things make huge difference at higher speeds. weight also does count a lot more at those speeds. having breakfast or not could be the difference is going 295 to 297 top speed, some budget airlines make you pee before boarding to save 300grams of liquid from each passengers body.... Apparently they save a lot of fuel on longer haul flights by doing that !!!!!

i appreciate you going into what you think what makes it fast, but power to weight ratio is still a real thing. Also, any car is only as good as it's suspension when you you give it power.

Ya, the important number here is that 18 hundred horsepower... materials today can lower the weight of this car to under a tonn. Meaning that there is a chance of 2:1 power to weight ratio. Say if you remove the mirrors and maximize on the carbon fiber. Maybe get rid of the A/C

Has a iron block for strength and durability(tested to over 2000 BHP), a aluminium block would weigh around 110lbs/50kg less(no need for more than 2005 BHP(5 BHP per cubic inch of engine displacement) for a 311mph/500kph two way average velocity, which is near the limit for current tyre technology as well).

@@THESLlCK No its true.... Hennessey claims this is a Texas built, ALL AMERICAN hypercar. He claims its a production car too..... None of this is true. And all those perfoemance figures are completely wrong. He claims its an 1800 HP car.... It isnt. A lot of lies from these people. It can only ever run on kit-car number plates. @@greyguy.960 Bottom line is basically I dont care.... I dont care how fast kit-cars or project cars go. As long as he does not have a PRODUCTION CAR, he cannot claim world records for production cars. And this is NOT a production car by any stretch of the meaning. No crash testing, no emissions certification, no health & safety of any kind. The car doesnt even have airbags. So it will only ever be able to run in the US on kit-car plates. Real production cars dont run on kit-car plates.
