Major Modifications To My Audi R8!

First mods to my Audi R8 are finally happening! Today she gets a rear end face lift! autovlog.com
We were supposed to install the exhaust on the R8 in todays video but it's being held up in Cincinnati for some reason.. good this we had a back up plan! Vorsteiner carbon spoiler and diffuser looks amazing!

The GM of the dealer called after your fans bombarded the Dealerships FB page. I work in Customer service, while I am not a service writer, if you rocked up this is what I would've said. You were booked in for an oil change, but we've found out the car has Audi Care which means you get a full service and inspection for Free. Since this is being done it will take a little longer, we hope you understand. Then I would've informed you about the battery issue when I got the paperwork as I would've looked at the inspection report and seen the "Bad" battery checked. Instead of making the customer wait 4hrs thinking it is a long oil change, they know it is a full service with inspection and they know of an issue. COMMUNICATION is what makes a good customer service agent.

You also have to think that the business is a “dealership.” When there’s no sense of ownership, since Audi isn’t owned by the dealership, you can expect nothing better from them. It’s unfair for us to expect anything you said from dealerships.

A single complaint wont have gotten much traction, but since this is a famous youtuber with lots of fans. It has traction like an F1 with Hyper Soft Slicks

I have to ask why would you spend $200,000 on a car that's been built to a very high standard and then still want to add more bits and pieces to it I can only assume wealthier than Donald Trump and have nothing else to spend your money on. I used to see list of the time by Dan MX5 Mark 4 people would change the exhaust suspension and I've never quite understood obviously if you're quite well off and you got nothing else to do I sort of get it all the best with the modifications cheers Phil from Newark

Ya was about to say this right on the delivery day, but did not want to spoil your happy mood, the silver grill looks completely off from the rest of the car and me personally not a big fan of removing brand logo so I would suggest to get it painted black and put the Audi logo back, might give it an orange color to the logo I meant and black grill

Mike... Greatings from ATX.... Brother...... That wing is HOT! NICE JOB Audi looking cool. While living in SF.... I worked for a certain company in IT and supported CEO and all execs.... Founding family and BOD. I had to synch the CEO's contacts in his Blackberry to his Audi R10. Did the job. And heard hells walking in building garage..... I opened driver side door she was like 8ft away.... Pretty as your wife.... Even on here so called..... Bad days..... Women. I then hit the car lock. She was like 5 ft away both of us heading to elevator. Get in elevator..... I hit the top floor... She was on like the 5th or 6th. Upon her leaving she put a piece of paper in my hand and said....... Vorsteiner is the way to go! If you need new wheels, they just launched their new VPX Forged Monoblock Wheel program, those would look sick on the R8!

Diffuser is alright, not a big fan of the wing. I think OEM wing goes better with the rear body panels and makes the rear seem wider, more supercarish. BTW i have the same color R8 V10+ and here are some small things you might like to refine the look: Paint the X bar orange, huge wow factor to the engine bay. Get R8 decals for the fuel cap, mine came with one, not sure if US cars have it or if the previous owner did that. Also get black side V10 badges, they really pop. Black optics grille is a must, but i'm fairly certain you are going for it. Orange name tag/AutoVlog tag on the drivers door window frame (the black horizontal part) will look great. Small things really have the biggest impact. If you want i can send you some pics, i have all these mods on mine ;)!

Love the new wing, it’s awesome. The Audi R8 is such an amazing platform for performance mods, you should check out the videos from Kyle the owner of 1320 You Tube channel, he bought a R8 from California and had Twin Turbos on it and they did some transmission mods too.

All about that diffuser. Definitely fills out the rear-end. But I'm not sure about the size of that wing; the stock one is the perfect height IMO. But the car looks absolutely sick! Ferrari was dope, because, well, being a Ferrari there is no need to say anything else, but the R8 is a much much more practical supercar. Plus, you get all the sweet tech that comes with owning a newer vehicle.

Sweet mod. The dealer story reminds me of my dealer incident. Took my F-250 for a service with tire rotation drove off about 5 blocks and something didnt feel right in the steering. Pulled over and only 2 lugnuts were barely holding the tire on woops shit happens....

I have had five Audis, one S6, one A6 4.2 and severl A 2.6 all quattro and a love them, but you are going to have a problem, toy have to change oil every 500 km becouse of the chains in the rear of the engine! Check the high petrolpressure pumps, the have a tendencie to brake , sorry about my english, not used too use this languish anymore!

It just looked like the mechanic didn’t want to have to replace the battery that day. May have been a lengthy process and he was feeling lazy. As for the guy who said “F**k you” when you were recording that shot of the R8 being driven out of the Audi garage, a lot of douchebags work at german car dealerships. It’s a given at this point that they look down on people. It’s really not surprising. The mercedes dealership is the worst about that in my area. Audi seems to take the cake on average though. Surprisingly the BMW dealership is the friendliest dealership in my area, I could not believe it at the time how nice and patient they were to a peasant like me. They sold a 3 series that day. Mercedes and Dodge were the worst when it came to engaging potential customers only to scare them off with their douchebaggery. It is what it is.

You must add the paint protection. Especially on the front and at the wheel arches. My friend had a R8 and picked up so many little stone chips. The car got repainted in the mentioned area and paint protection was added. He then drove it without any further paint chip issues for a few months before he traded it for a Porsche. Anyway I guess it's better to prevent this before it becomes a issue
