FINALLY! an intelligent discussion of trend colours instead of telling everyone they should wear buy/ wear dark chocolate brown or burgundy because it’s on trend. I’m a light spring and I completely avoid those colours along with black, gray and dark navy. None of those suit me. One of the best things I ever did for my wardrobe and to boost my confidence in dressing was to have my colours done. It’s crazy but there are so many influencers with dark hair or coloring that have no sense of what worked on lighter / low contrast spring colors - or blonde influencers that don’t understand what really works for their hair and skin and low contrast features and they are just following trends. I really hope to see these colors in the stores because so far the pre-fall collections are boringly neutral. I'm sick of this fake old money trend. I like beiges, blacks and whites, of course, but greens are my true love. I'm an Autumn, not so sure of the subseason (a first glance, deep, but soft Autumn colors suit me better) and I love the classic Autumn fashion, both colors and cuts! It is the best time for dressing!!

Sarah, as a Summer male living in Texas, the good news is that the weather is about to get cooler. The bad news is that my shopping gets harder, as my colors become a little less available. However, there are always some nice items in stock. I got some long sleeve shirts this month in Summer colors while the stock was still good. There is also a silver lining: there are some great closeout prices on short sleeve shirts in Summer colors! I enjoy the content!

Hello, Sarah, I want to tell you that I also enjoy so much the describtions of the colors and their names 😊 Some of them are so poetic :) And although men insist that the colors are red, yellow, blue, green, white and black, we need these poetic names to distinguish somehow the million hues in between :) As a Cool Winter I love the idea of an Aventurine coat :) From the warm colors I love that Golden Palm. I found it very elegant and sofisticated, especially when the fabric has a little bit of shimmer. I am jealous about this color! 😛

I’m a cool summer palette, with gray hair, so I will be searching for muted variations of the Italian Plum for pants, handbag…and wearing with moonstruck gray turtleneck. I’ll look for dark gull gray and Navy, and maybe Fern. Good time to find them to add these colors to my wardrobe.

Before I let my hair grow out to its natural color I was a true autumn. My silver is primarily just face framing the rest is a warm brown. So at this point It’s been challenging finding what color group I fall into. So far black, certain grays, white, blue and red are what I’ve found work. Loving this video.

Warm Autumn here. Tomato Cream as a neutral is awesome. And Italian Plum is gorgeous. I know I can get away with Tomato Cream but I'm not sure if Italian Plum isn't a bit too dark for me. Otherwise it would be a great substitute for black or dark brown as a neutral. Buckthorn brown is fantastic as well. There are a lot of neutrals this time around.

@Mamaki1987 certain fabrics "take" dye better than others and certain fabrics will appear lighter, brighter, softer etc because of their sheen, texture, or ability to reflect light. For those of us warms (WS/WA) we need to look for Italian Plum in maybe a satin or silk type fabric because it will appear lighter and brighter because of its sheen and light reflective qualities. Softs (SA/SS) should look for it in a chiffon type fabric because it will appear lighter and softer. Deeps (DA/DW) should be able to use in any fabrication. True Aurumn will have to make a judgment call. I don't recommend for True Spring, True Winter, True Summer, Cools (CW/CS), Brights (BS/BW), or Lights (LSp/LSu).

I’m new here, great video 😊. I love that warm brown and funnily enough I wouldn’t have thought it would have suited me but I tried it as a nail polish and it really suits my difficult to please skin tone. My method of trying colours I’m not used to is to try it as a nail polish, do a picture of my hands and see if how my skin looks. Certain colours look cheap, and other colours make my skin look cadaver like 😂. I think I’m a Spring and suit a soft French navy.

The jumper I’m wearing today is very close to Winter Sky! I knit it a few years ago as I thought the colour to be perfect for me as a light summer and I’m glad to see this colour in the Pantone trends for this year. It’s also great to see great variation of warms and colds.

@@cathwalsh9921 ones that are on the to warm side wash me out. So I stick with a true red or a cool red. A ruby red yes a tomato red No. greens the same thing. Yellow I can only wear neon yellow or light yellow. The mustard yellow nope the rusty reds nope.

I'm a bright spring, and I wish I could wear the scarlet smile color.. but I guess I will have to stick with red orange? I already have a lipstick that exact color (red orange), a few actually. I'm hoping to find something like aventurine but maybe a little brighter.. idk, personally I could probably get away with aventurine as there are some surprisingly dark colors in my palette, as long as the particular item was saturated enough. Blue-green tends to be really good on me 🤷‍♀

Even ten years ago, as a deep autumn, I would have worn the italian plum and the goldern palm, but now they would both wash me out. Today, I can wear that red orange. I wonder if this means I have slipped into a spring with ageing, or just a brighter autumn, as hair and eyes have both gone lighter and brighter? I thought you were supposed to soften with age?

It sounds like a different system to mine so you could sit in cool or soft summer as they are both deeper than light summer. You could go for true summer and choose the darker colours from there ☺️💕

I am a naturally redhaired bright spring and, except that i want one new midi skirt this year, i am shopping my closet. I have a sweater my sister gave me years ago and that i had decided to put back in rotation- it is raw umber with narrow stripes that are off white. I already have a pair of suede ( supposed to be in this year) in buckthorn, as well as a bag. The red orange for a top or scarf is tempting. I have wide legged pants and sweater in pureed pumpkin ( pantone london) so I think that'll be trendy enough for me.
