Nice Job Cap. I've just recently bought the AV-8B and watched the Joystick tutorial, I've yet to drop bombs but I will say I learn something every time I watch your video's. Thanks again!

The cockpit seems extraordinarily well designed for usability. Do you have other planes you'd recommend on that basis? I'd buy the Harrier but I find the whine of the engine unbearable.

Brilliant CAP thank you. Tute delivered just as I like em!

What type of scenario would you possibly use a MULT of more than 1 on the armament panel? Even if I want to split the release of say 12 bombs, I just set QTY 6, MULT 1 and pickle twice. The manual sites number of stations released from, but that seems confusing. Thanks...love your videos.

Hi Cap, Very good videos. Learn alot from you. Was wondering if you would be kind enough to share your training missions so that we can use and learn. Just asking. Thank you again for this training videos Sir.

Lots of ppl asking but sadly I use so many that I just generate them on the fly and usually don;t even save them. Sorry.

@@alextdl21 Just checked this out Alex and CCIP is still working as it is in video. TINY change is that when dropping the first bomb, it now designates a T0 target in the ESHD, where as it used to designate a mark point. That shouldn't make any real different. Thanks. Cap

Nice video again, Cap. But again, you are more or less skipping the FUZE options. You are translating the characters into a word like "NT" to "Nose and Tail" but you are leaving your audience with no hint of when to choose what. For example: In which scenario should I select "tail only"? As far as I understand it: the fuze would be located at the tail of the bomb, but as every bomb will only hit with its nose, how does this fuze ever ignite the explosion? Or why should I want to "delay" the explosion and what is the time difference between "IN", "D1" and "D2"? Same goes for the bombs themselves. Just recently, I tried to figure out the difference between "Rockeye", "Snakeeye", "LD", "AIR" and no addition to the name ("slicks" as you call them). "Snakeeye" is explained with high drag (as you mentioned) and via google, I could find out that this will reduce the velocity of the bomb so that I can get very low without the danger of being hit by my own ordinance. You mentioned "LD" stands for "low drag": I assume that it increases the velocity, but for which purpose? And is it even faster than a bomb without any appendix (like just MK-82). You also mentioned "Air" representing a bomb with a parachute. When do I would like to use that, except for illumination ordinances? And for "Rockeye" I have no clue at all. Could you explain them in more detail especially with use-case examples? I mean examples of why to choose one variant over another one.

At least in RL, a delay is often used when you are attacking things like buildings and you want the bomb to enter it before detonating. A low drag/ slick, is just another name for a regular unguided bomb (i.e. a Mk82 could be called a Mk82 slick). A Mk82 AIR is the same thing as a snake eye, just using a ballute instead of metal fins (AIR's are newer tech than snake eyes and have pretty much replaced them afaik). And your are correct on usage of high drag bombs (so you can drop at lower (and/slower) altitude without blowing yourself up)

@@cyberpunkalphamale Sorry for maybe obvious questions, the Harrier is my first DCS bird: What does the fuze have to do with deploying the high drag device?
@firemedicjm9115 жыл бұрын
This was just a basic tutorial on how to use CCIP and Auto to drop unguided bombs since there was a recent change in how it works in the Harrier. It was not intended to be a tutorial on how to use those bombs or how to set them up for different scenarios, That information is covered in other videos.

@@hololightful Also for ships you'd want to have a delay so it explodes inside the ship, not on top of the deck, for maximum damage.

@@firemedicjm911 I watched his full tutorial playlist of the harrier, already. Did I miss it or is it part of another series of videos? Would be nice if you could point them out for me.

Enjoying your vids a lot! It will be relaxing for you (and the viewer) if you deconstruct your throat when you speak to drop the selfimportant infliction and attempt to make the voice ‘sharp’ though :P
