Avacyn, Angel of Hope Commander Deck Tech

So there is a combo that can work with this deck since this is during BFZ Sun Titan Emeria Shepherd Ashnod's Altar and Evolving Wilds Sacrifice the Titan to Altar then crack Evolving Wilds for a plains, this triggers Emeria Shepherd's landfall ability and since its a plains, you get the Nonland Permanent back into play instead of your hand, Grab Sun Titan and then Sun Titan's ability triggers to grab Evolving Wilds, repeat the process, you can keep going as long as you have basic plains in your deck

Avacyn is the first EDH deck I built myself and I'm still always working on it. although it's very defensive, lots of damage prevention and life gain (even for a white deck) all my control comes in the form of exile and I play it only when being targeted or attacked. the politics of that strategy is most players leave me alone and when they do come at me I punish them for it or prevent their attempt. it's been extremely effective and I've won plenty of games just by being left alone till the last second.

i play a lot of life gain with my Avacyn Commander and it's a great combo to making sure your deck has multiple win conditions. felidar soverign is a must. platinum angel is great too

i usually just exile about 6-7 plains at most with endless horizons to avoid the issue of not having lands if it gets popped. usually once you get to 10-11 mana you'll be sitting pretty for a while.

Hear me out. Worldslayer, Ring of Three Wishes, Extraplanar Lens, Stoneforge Mystic, Land Tax, Enlightened Tutor. You’ve got your land ramp, you’re fetching lands, and some powerful fetching cards, plus a board wipe that stays on the board. The win condition is that you quickly get to a point where you board wipe every turn. You can include Neverinyal’s Disk and Magus of the Disk, but they enter the battlefield taped, giving your opponents time to exile them or something similarly effective to remove them. Plus they don’t destroy lands, unlike Worldslayer, so after you board work with them they still have the mana to pay for removal effects. Worldslayer hits all permanents including lands, which means your opponents can’t get back into the game unless they’re packing a one mana removal card that targets Worldslayer.

Watch out when using Samurai of the pale curtain, i believe it will only work on cards going to the graveyard from the battlefield, as a card in any other field is a "permanent card" not a "permanent" similar to the wording on Nature's Spiral

I would play LED. 1. Playing white you have very few/no cards in hand mid game and you want to get out an 8 drop. In those situations it can be a black lotus and even a situational lotus is op. 2. You can go for the Bomberman combo from vintage etc. [Auriok salvager (cmc 4) + LED (cmc 0) = infinite colored mana]. Imo it's the best mono w combo. 2.1. salvager + origin spellbomb (cmc 1) = 4 mana you can draw a card and make a myr/ savager + sunbeam spellbomb (cmc 1) = 3 draw a card (both repetable). 2.2. LED + salvager + a spellbomb draw as much as you want + infinite myrs/life. 2.x. there are some more great combos / synergies with those cards (staff of domination, second surise, ....) if you dig even deeper. The only real problem is getting your combo cards in mono w. You can get the artifacts with enlightend tutor/inventors faire/... but getting the salvager is quite hard (Recuiter or thalias lancers can't get it). So most of the time it's a mid/late game win con but with the right hand (depending on how you built your deck) you could win turn 1 (in magical chrismas land). Remember: playing mono w is an uphill battle from the start so you can go all in on the degeneracy. Cheap/free artifact ramp + mass LD is great and can be a win con (even better with avacyn out), playing a X minutes eggs turn can get you ahead of the game and yeah I do play nevermore naming your commander, activate top to draw hold priority untap it (voltaic key, ... ) and activate it again to get an additional card and replay top, arena of the ancients + kismet effects, second surise/faiths reward/sun titan + fetches, mana vault/basalt monolith/grim monolith + paradox engine/unwinding clock/voltaic key, ...., ..... You will need some of those unpleasant effects to win a multiplayer game if your opponents play demonic tutors, necros, green ramp (cradle), blue card draw, wheels, ..... and you just play the one color without ramp or card draw. It's a hard life for the mono w player take every advantage you can get.

Don't think your samurai of pale curtain would worked against Sidisi. A card is considered a permanent only when it is cast successfully and enters the battlefield.

Politics? Ya right Amigo. I got hammered. My opponents ganged up on me from the start. Blue and Black spells. Every time I cast a creature it's on the graveyard before my next upkeep. On the other hand, they been ramping up creatures and token creatures. I have to board wipe 2X without Avacyn in play. I got enough Lands to bring out Avacyn but I did not because of the constant barrage. I was hoping I can draw and cast "FUMIGATE" to live a bit longer to no avail. Run out of LIFE. For the record, I'm 0-6 with Avacyn. Even sometimes on my first upkeep I would have AEGIS OF GODs or LEYLINE OF SANCTITY still loss. But my semi-AGGRO mono white and enchantment mono white are both winners. 4-0 and 3-0.

Thanks for the advice. I like multi-color deck. But with the speed my buddies and I are playing you'll be behind casting permanents. Angels and Demons are powerful cards. By the time I get them out, my opponents would have 1/1 tokens to block. "Deathtouch and Reach".

I've newly subscribed and I love your channel. Just an idea. You could organise your videos into playlists. i.e conspiracy 2 deck techs. mono green deck techs. Things like that. Then people coming to your channel and looking for a new simic commander for example would be able to check them all out. Regardless keep up the good work

#WhiteIsAndNeedsJustice Honestly, I haven't heard of the White Hatebear Strategy(4:40) since I'm a new player in Arena a year ago. But now when I watch this, I love this kind of strategy already: Conditional and Taxing Control. I definitely want to try them, let alone bring them back and these conditional benefits and strategies in the recent standard sets in white. Yep it's a static effect. For example your opponents CAN'T kill her in response to her gaining indestructible or some nonsense like that.

+Jamaigar gar that's a realyl great question because caged sun is such a strong card in mono-colored decks. I found that I NEED my ramp in the lower cmcs so I can get up to Avacyn. Because white is so poor at card draw I noticed that in the late game I was always hungering for cards and things to do. I never really had a great return on my investment of ramping from 6 mana to 14 mana. This does not make the card bad I just prioritized other things more than the over the top end, big mana plays.

I have an Avacyn Commander deck, and it's one of the banes of my playgroup. It's a weird combo of voltron, tokens, life gain and blow shit up. Magus of the disk. Original disk. Blow up the board every turn. Kill with Avacyn Commander damage. It's a lot of fun to stay. My friend runs Kiki, and always steals her to make his things indestructible, then obliterates..... so..... Fun....?

Is it wrong that I rate a 7/10 edh deck a deck that consistently wins on turn 6-7? 10/10 - there's about 10 commanders that do this win consistently turns 1-3. Theres about 40 commanders/decks that win consistently turns 3-4. I mean at least go Linvala - she does something before you lose to an average deck. I mean you timmys can complain all you want, but it's difficult not to go a deck that shits all over you.
