Epicdude 01234567890 Yeah it is boring, but I like the red and silver one better, especially the zebra stripe doors but they repainted them into black on all the Pendolinos except the Voyagers, but they did painted their doors black when they painted them into the flowing silk livery but on the Class 221s.

@@elliotsealpup4101 the doors were grey with vinyl white stripes on them then the stripes were removed even before repaint and they were repainted grey again

Quite mundane, that's the nicest thing I can think of saying. Hang on... I like the grey bits, yeh... the grey bits are good. This livery does not work with the shape or contours of the business ends. It does not speak of speed or style the way the Virgin livery did. Even the coaches look chopped up and awkward. It's like a commuter train livery, graphics that work when stationary, and which won't be seen at speed. This coach livery is almost a camouflage to speed. There, I think I've upset everyone. Before I go... I think the naked Pendolinos looked better, amazing in fact. I'm sure the Japanese would say "That's a beautiful train, why are you painting it?"

I like the Advanti West Coast livery, but will miss the Virgin livery which used red and silver. Perhaps my favourite Virgin livery of all has to be that on the former 225 sets seen recently on the West Coast Mainline as a test train for Transport for Wales. Interesting I won't forget the great days of INTERCITY Swallow livery and when the first Virgin livery started appearing mixed in these INTERCITY trains then using class 87s And class 87s along with 90s looked very good in the first original Vigin Trains livery.

I mean. It's really good but I kinda like the red and grey compered to the black and grey. I wonder what the interior would look like if they have got a new one. Lucky they didn't go SWR style with the 701 the cheap plasticy things you get from tesco express for 99p R.I.P Virgin Trains. 1997-2019

I just hope the pendolinos get refurbished qickly. the interior is still from the early 2000s and even back then it was really 1990s in style.

I always thought that since privatisation the trains should be painted in existing liveries but with the name of the TOC on the side. McDonalds restaurants, for example, are run by different franchises but on the whole look the same.

Looks really really smart. More serious and not as striking as the Virgin livery. Do you plan on travelling on one to show the interior? Hopefully the seats are not replaced by hard cheap ones like the class 800/801s

Don't look so bad afterall i suppose the livery will grow on us but like many have said so far, i also miss the virgin livery more so the silver livery. Great catch by the way

The new avanti livery makes them look slower because the virgin livery is more generic and looks faster
