With FSR 3 Frame Gen on my FPS was locked to 144 as it forces Vsync . This is probably the smoothest Game i've played absolutely 0 stutters amazing graphics

fsr 3 doesn't force sync, NVidia cards have an issue with running the game @ Fullscreen, try running @ borderless and see if that fixes it.

I have stutters on 4070 with FG and 100+fps. It works bad for me. I tried different settings. Image looks good, but it's not smooth. I launched 2-3 games with Nvidia FG for comparison and I feel like FSR3 useless if you have 60+ native fps, cos 100+fps don't see like smooth 100fps, it's like the same 60-70fps with frame drops.

This video was more about Optimization , I'm currently playing with Unobtanium Ray Traced Reflection Settings on RTX 4070 and it looks and runs amazing . I will have updated video for RTX 4070 soon

First of all great video and I love ho in depth you went, and secondly I have to commend Massive Entertainment on how well optimized this game is and how well it looks on low settings even. This might just be a game I'd purchase just for the exploration, I was actually thinking of waiting until I build a new pc late next year (going from a 4070 to a 4090 or newer if available at that time) but after seeing this I actually think I could play at a stable fps on 3440x1440 with optimized settings maybe they also add DLSS Frame Gen though I really wanna try out FSR3 Frame Gen.

FSR 3 is really good in this game , I recommend using FSR over DLSS

your not looking very well then it causes all kinds of artifacts around your guns and plants and water DLSS is the way to go.its a much clearer cleaner picture.

FSR3 looks visually good, but FPS looks not like 100+. I see your video on 4070, and I tested for 2 hours on my 4070. 100fps with FG looks like 60 real FPS. And I have more stable performance with less stutters with DLSS Quality than AMD FG (but it has stutters too and not ideal). I can compare with Ratchet 7 Clank, where Nvidia FG gives a VERY smooth performance, like real 100+ fps. I tested Forspoken 2 days ago, and it was smooth 120fps with FG when I had 60 stable fps without FG. FG in Pandora can work without V-Sync, and I think it help more for native fps 45-50, but I can't see any help for me, cos my 60-70 DLS Quality look the same smooth and has less stutters. I tried V-Sync off-on, Fullscreen and different video settings. But nothing helps.

Right now I’m slightly further in game and kinda agree with you , the FSR 3 FG is feeling choppy if my fps isn’t locked to 144 fps . I played cyberpunk with path tracing 40-50 fps upped to 80-90 fps and it feels smooth .

Well frame generation performance monitoring with afterburner actually works. It's just you need to close the afterburner before applying frame generation then start it again after applying FG. Thank me later. 😅

Simple Answer. Start with Ultra Preset then Set Volumetric Fog to Medium , Specular Reflections to Low (Medium and above use Ray Tracing) Diffused Reflections to Low (Significant performance cost for no perceivable quality improvement) Contacts Shadows to OFF or Low (uses Ray Tracing) And Object Details is View distance for world objects(Very intensive when set to max adjust accordingly) After all of this use FSR 3 Quality with Frame Gen This video isn't giving you optimized settings , It's showing you how much each settings costs . Based on that I picked settings that are good for RTX 4070 that I'm using. Look at the graph at 0:25 , Settings that do not have impact leave them on ultra . then between 1:04 to 1:53 I've shown performance cost the most demanding settings have. Volumetric Fog for eg. From Very Low to Medium only costs 2 FPS but high costs 5 FPS and has no significant visual improvement . Pick your settings accordingly.

as usual great work since I followed you and gg for your increase in subscriber, So do you advise people with an RTX 4000 to use the FSR 3 with FG compared to the simple DLSS3.5? for your case of 1440p do you suggest quality or balanced mode?

fsr frame gen when you see it your self its smooth but you will see visual artifacts around your gun and other things in the game. DLSS is better in my opinion you get a nice clean picture that looks just as good as native.

@@davidfrazier6308 j'ai testé depuis et je prefere x100 le fsr et fg, peut etre due a mon nombre de fps mais je me retrouve avec 150-220 fps sur avatar en elevé, c'est pas aussi parfait effectivement mais je prefere le fsr pour la premiere fois etant donné que le fg nvidia n'est pas disponible, sinon je serais restez sur le dlss.

I don't know how they managed to mess up water reflections so badly. It looks like a blurry mess no matter which settings are used. The rest is pretty good though.

AMD sponsored games have weak ray tracing and high vram usage while nvidia sponsored games have sharp ray tracing details and moderate vram usage. I think it’s by design

I give you the ray tracing as AMD implements it differently, they do not have the hardware yet but the high VRAM usage makes you look like a conspiracy crazy fanboy. Moderate VRAM usage :)))))))))))))) whisper that to your 12GB GPU later on when developers start pushing the envelope properly with current gen only. You sound like Apple when they stated 8GB RAM in their system is like 16GB RAM for Windows :)))))))) ......

I have a ASUS RTX 4070 OC with a 5800x 3D with higher settings than your optimized setting's i get 90 up to 130 fps all the time with the game looks so crisp and clear. with the my setting, I also get 65 to 75 FPS at 4k with Dlss quality but i choose 1440p for the higher frame. My Fog settings raytracing and everything is up the fog i have at medium and everything else is on high it looks amazing same performance a 3080 has in this game if i use frame gen at 4k i get 98 fps but i hate the way framgen looks like your gun retical is blurry and other artifacts that it causes. the game does need some performance updates. because some time's in area's where im getting 90+ Fps. I'll go back to and drop to 40. so there is still some optimizing the devs need to do

1440p with rtx 4070 in this game on ultra is not good :( i have a 4070. And it doesn't run smoothly, especially when you're up in the clouds later, I'll get a PS5, I hate spending so much on a graphics card these days and you can't even play smoothly, especially for GTA 6 I'll get a PS5 or Xbox buy, don't want to wait another year or two just for pc lmao, what do you think? is ps5 or xbox series x better?

PS5 will definitely give you a smoother experience than a pc , but ps5 is about 50% slower than RTX 4070. You’ll be compromising a lot of settings and resolution with a ps5 coming from a RTX 4070. You’ll get better experience if you get any of X3D CPUs it significantly improves smoothness . I do have ps5 and a pc and I definitely think ps5 has more easier out of the box experience.

That GPU is below the recomended specs and only just barely above the minimum specs.

@@soldadogameroficial If you're overheating, that indicates a problem. 4090's are buckling under load with this game. You should seriously consider turning your settings down to low or medium at the most. Come to terms with the fact that new games are starting to require much newer/better hardware and that you won't be able to play some games the way you want with your current hardware.
