Noteable scenes to check out with time stamps
Right at the beginning of the movie you can hear nature and animal sounds all around you in the forest. Sounds even come from behind you through the rear speakers making it feel like you are actually there.
6:20- the ships coming in have some deep bass to their engines
13:00 minutes when they are flying on the Ikran, you can hear the air all around you from their wings. It’s a pretty impressive experience that makes you feel like you are flying along with them. Then the following train explosion has some deep bass to it that will shake your room. The helicopters flying and exploding sound pretty good also.
26:10 - helicopters sound like their above you then the jungle sounds can be heard all around you making it feel like you are actually there.
36:40 - rain scene has rain falling all around you which just sounds amazing.
40:00 - shootout has bullets flying all by you, you can hear some whizzing by in the rear speakers.
49:30 - The storm sounds above and all around you
1:45:00 - the rain can be heard all around you and drops hitting the huts and ocean make it feel like it’s raining in your room.
1:55:20 - the boats launching sound cool. The depth charges fired and exploding have deep bass to them.
2:15:00 - some good under water effects utilizing all speaker surrounds. Especially when the submarines launch

Watching your reviews convinced me to buy the A9 sooner o later. My only concern is that my sofa is leaning against the wall, and i can't put 2 speakers behind me, maybe loosing the 360 bubble effect...

Try placing them to the sides of the couch with the speakers aimed where you sit. This is how my setup is and it sounds amazing! You’ll definitely enjoy the A9

How does it perform at lower volumes? I live in an apartment so I don't think I am gonna go above 30% and from what I have read HT-A9 sounds a little "anemic" at low volume. Is it true?

Try turning the DRC “off” I noticed a dramatic improvement in sound quality. DRC) or simply compression is an audio signal processing operation that reduces the volume of loud sounds or amplifies quiet sounds

Hi! Thank you for sharing this. I’m so close to convince myself to get the A9 with the sw5. :)) Is there anything on the market that comes close to the A9 with sw5 in the same budget (€2,000)? People are praising the q990b/c more than half the price, but I don’t really like compromises and I was wondering which way to go. I have only a solid stereo system with big focals aria 948 and svs sub. Sounds great for movies, but not cinematic. In the end I’m looking for that one truly immersive experience that won’t get boring to say so. And with less space occupied in the living room (which is quite large, around 60sqm, but only almost half of it is for entertainment with couch and chairs - not really perfect for standard ht system). Thank you!

How are the vocals? Especially when action movies get chaotic? Is the sw5 still an awesome sub? And what stands did you use for the speakers?

Vocals sound great, especially if you use the vocal enhancer. SW5 is still awesome and so is the SW3. The stands are Eono from Amazon and I have a full review of them here on my channel.

@@MrNickster12345 Usually, I use cinema mode, rear surround speakers max, sound mode on and often use the vocal enhancement to hear vocals better.

Mate Sony has a better picture, better colour accuracy pre calibration and acoustic center sync for your ht A9. Makes a big difference.

@@profitfeverSony is definitely good, but have never had issues with my LG and looks amazing. As for the acoustic center, I’ve heard it at the Sony store and prefer the phantom center channel over it.

@@blazinreviews2393 i confirm that the center acoustic is pretty useless with A9, LG tvs are good as Sony (see the G3 been actually the best tv of 2023 (: )
