T. Nagar...... What a revealing information!! Hat's off to You Sir. We were a resident of T. Nagar in the 50's and 60's(1950's/60's) and at that time T.Nagar Bus Depot did not exist. All the route buses used to park in line opposite to Shiva Vishnu temple. We cannot forget our childhood days at T.Nagar. We now live only with the wonderful memories of our childhood days. Your Historical revealation has sparked an excellent notalgic experience and is very stunning. I know I am late in forwarding my comments and I am very happy to come across your wonderful Vdo episodes. To be frank I am not ashamed to accept that if I had not come across your channel I would not have known the Historical facts of Madras. Thanks to you Always 🙏🙏🌹

We salute Avatar live as personally till this age, iam 73 now, did not know how Chennai/ Madras City evolved. I also thanm Sri.Nalli Kuppusamy Chetty in his few interviews was telling how his present famous Nalli text was started as early as 1930. Also the number of vehicles that will ply through his stores. More than this, the Historian the respected Mr.Sriram Sirs, countless research help us the History of Madras State, and in this video the broad 77 Acre West Mambalam. ( East West Mambalam had become T.Nagar, and it comes under only WM, is the most valuable fact. I wish our Children especially in Chennai and around, should go to KZbin and see Avatar live, and know the minute details of people and places, who were responsible for building the City and Parks in Chennai. Sriram Sirs, information creates more interest in Justice party , its office bearers, the Englishmen on whose names some Streets in Chennai still exist. Sriram Sir, you are doing a great service to society as Historian.

I grew up on Jagadambal street thru 1940s & 50’s. There were only 9 bungalows on our street, and a drying up lake behind our house. I have personal impression of Ranganathan Street from 1948! One of the bungalows in that street belonged to Pro Krishnamurthy, Principal,Pachaiappa’s college, and was a well known professor of English. Besides, many professors from Loyola College had their independent bungalows in that area. Bus route No 12 between TNagar and Triplicane was a goldmine and Prof Sundaram Iyar,Maths Dept,of Loyola started a single bus on Route No 12 and became a Lakshatipathi in no time with his City Bus Service.( He lived on NHigh Road, opposite to Kamaraj’s house). The two landmarks ,still going strong, are of course the Nalli’s shop and it’s almost next door Woodlands, where a ‘full tiffin’ used to cost Six Anna’s.

I was born in Thanikachalam road and spent my early years in different parts of T Nagar and lived in melony road for quite some time. Nice to know the reason for the name of that road too. One more fact you missed was that Sivaji Ganesan's house was originally owned by the same Boag after whom Boag road is named. Also, actress Manorama had a house there too on melony road from which a school used to function until 2008 (Adarsh senior secondary school,my first school ❤️).
