Jimmy has a very big responsibility in this band, he writes songs, basically he is the pianist but plays the drums. all the lyrics he wrote have a very broad meaning

They aren’t religious but Rev and Matt went to I think catholic school together as kids so I think some of them were raised religious. Definitely not religious as adults tho but into religious imagery and quotes and stuff etc

The band is not religious, the singer and original drummer who was still alive for this album went to Catholic school together growing up but as adults they definitely aren’t religious. They’ve always just been fascinated with religious imagery and bible quotes and stuff like that, their name is actually Part of a quote from the Bible. They themselves aren’t religious tho, they have a song called “god hates us” lol.
