Agreed. I'm not a big fan of general soft songs, but A7X does them right, especially on this album. So Far Away is my 3rd favorite track off the album.

The thing thats so great about Avenged Sevenfold is that there a musicians band, meaning if your somebody that plays than you really rnjoy and appreciate every instrument in every song and that alone in every song is amazing, but then on top of that the singing and the melodies are so catchy and fun to sing with. Yes there are many talented bands out there and then there are bands that arent as talented or play very basic things but are known for catchy songs and hits but for a band to put both together so beautifully is rare these days.

Avenged sevenfold is one of my all time favorite bands help me through alot of my problems this song is a killer song anything up to the nightmare ablum perfect its like Metallica in a way everything up till the black ablum perfect then after that gotta pick and choose

you should react another Avenged Sevenfold songs.. there is many great songs from them : - Afterlife - Bat Country - M.I.A - Nightmare - Buried Alive - Save Me - Carry On - A Little Piece Of Heaven - Beast And The Harlot and many more. But top of them recomend Afterlife or Save Me. you'll be like that song

Afterlife is possibly my favourite A7X song. Nightmare, Buried Alive Alive and Bat Country are great too but So Far Away is their most emotional song. It is softer but still hits hard when you know the story behind it.

The drummer of this album is Mike Portnoy, current drummer of Dream Theater, replacing The Rev.

Mike Portnoy didnt actually replace the rev, he came in to do the nightmare album in name of the rev, Arin techincally replaced The Rev, but wasnt the right touch for a7x

Jimmy is the one who wrote most the drums, portnoy just played a lot of what Jimmy wrote for the final record

Basically, it was Jimmy who wrote it, but Portnoy beautified it with details like octo, tom, ride, bell, fill, sound. If you hear Jimmy's demo and then hear the final version, it's a bit different.@@puppetmaster8551

Jimmy just wrote a basic or a foundation, it's not exactly 100% like Mike Portnoy played, it's quite different.
