Late Jimmy wrote this song, former drummer of avenged sevenfold the backbone of the band,he tested himself the limitation of song writing skill how much he can be able to create a deferent type of music genre at one time so he put together all the genre in this particular song.miss you rev.

If you pay attention to the lyrics, her rejecting him was in his head, so he acted. "Before the possibilities came true, I took all possibility from you." And this is what happens when the rev was given full creative control. May he rest in peace.

The way I always perceived the song was that it was about how even if a couple goes through a hard time, they can still work it out. It could become very toxic, where the couple are metaphorically ripping each other’s heart out and screwing each other over. But if there is a real love there they can come back from it. Forgive and forget and move on into a stronger relationship. For example, my parents went through a couple of years in their marriage where they were very toxic toward each other. But they finally showed some humility and apologized for everything they did to each other and moved into a new chapter of their relationship, and that relationship became stronger than ever. The main thing that almost proves this is the correct interpretation is the line in the song “And a word to the wise, when the fire dies, you think it’s over but it’s just begun…”. Add that to the overall narrative of the two killing each other and then forgiving each other and living happily ever after, and that is why I think that is the way this song was meant to be interpreted.

the song is incredible and morbid in all the right ways and is almost like an anti love song because if you look into the lyrics and learn what they truly mean, the narrator and lyrics are basically saying that the relationship is better dead than alive but also put into a physical representation of that "better" version of the relationship

You guys got to do a reaction to how they came about the song and made it with all the producers and everybody in the group and the people doing the instruments that you were talking about. The drummer had like this Epiphany and decided to go up into the cabin that they all are part of our own together something along those lines and came back and they finish the song with the instruments and everything else. But it's the making of A Little piece of heaven by avenged sevenfold it's amazing what you seen what they did to put this together.

About this song: the song was done by late Drummer of the band "The Rev", where the initial concept of this song was to do an Hallowen EP with a couple of other songs. But when the label heard the music, they liked so much that they convinced the band to scrap the EP and put the song alltogether on the coming 4th album. Also fun fact, the start of the song is not about a rejection of proposal. The start was the male imagination thinking that his GF would reject her if he proposed to her; so in fear of rejection, he decided the kill her. The homicide was because of fear of rejection, not for obsesion. That's why in the final they reconcile, because the guy was regretfull about his action and the GF understanded him.

When you listen closely to the lyrics, he never actually proposed. His nerves got the better of him. "Before the possibilities came true" In his head he saw it and went insane. This is why she came back and in the end they had an undead marriage. She would have said yes.
