The backing vocals the rev does before Self titled are the following: - Backing screams on The Art Of Subconcious Illusion - Gang vocals on "Strength Of The World" - The "All Alone" in the bat country chorus Aside from that everything is Matt from STST-CoE with the rev receiving his first vocal parts in Self Titled.

If you liked Waking The Fallen, you’re gonna LOVE City of Evil The band members by the way, real names and (stage names) Singer: Matt Sanders (M. Shadows) Lead Guitar, Piano, Backing Vocals: Brian Haner (Synyster Gates) Rhythm Guitar, Backing Vocals: Zachary Baker (Zacky Vengeance) Bass: Jonathan Seward (Johnny Christ) Drums, Backing Vocals, Piano: Jimmy Sullivan (The Rev) [RIP] Jimmy, The Rev, was the original drummer of the band, from their creation in 1999, until his early death in 2009, at the age of just 29. Following his death, other drummers that have played in the band have been Mike Portnoy, Arin Ilejay, and the current drummer since 2015- Brooks Wackerman. The Rev was a musical genius and had a huge part in songwriting. Heavily regarded as one of the best drummers of his generation, possibly of all time. He inspired many drummers. (including me)

This reaction touched me man, rewatched it already now. Hoping for a future album reaction from their catalog, personally any of them I'd recommend, although I'm mostly a fan of Self-titled and City of Evil. (also the Desecrate through reverence ending is my favorite on this album, it's very melodic: "Don't waste your time, and don't waste mine.." And also the bassline in the early parts of I Won't see you tonight part 1 especially.)

Avenged Sevenfold has a story arc a lot like Deftones. This would be like jumping into Deftones between Adrenaline and Around the Fur, the further forward you go in their discography the more their sound changes (Although the hardcore kids were fucking PISSED about it back in the day).

The switch ups in songs from them are why they are one of my favorite bands ever, along with my favorite band ever System of a Down. Jimmy "The Rev" Sullivan was Avenged Sevenfolds drummer and he was a monster, sadly he passed away just before they released their Nightmare album. Also the guitarist Synyster Gates is one of the best shredders ever, they are so talented.

Great reaction I definitely recommend making other albums. A7X fans flock here like wasps to candy. Each of their albums is something special and original... Unfortunately, the singer had a problem with his vocal cords after the second album. So he had to start looking for different alternatives to singing. Only the singer does most of the vocals on the album. But all the band members get involved too. Some albums have really beautiful harmonies...

i feel like im going to have to pay for a reaction their album Sounding the Seventh Trumpet, because there are ALOT of haters of that album. it was their first album, they were still in high school, rev (drummer, RIP) recorded the drums for the entire album in one take. there are so many songs on the album i know you'd love just as much as this album. i think a lot of the hate comes from their fan base that only started listening when they were more mainstream, their older stuff was heavier so its gets negative reception right off the bat, there a lot of A7x fans who don't even like this album because its too heavy.

These guys are amazing and all their albums are good and have something for everyone) They change their style in every album. Don't ever expect the same sound from Avenged sevenfold when they drop an album, they always surprise us. Next album is completely different, voice and everything, but goddamn is it good!
