@@isipscognac That's national romantic BS. First off Odin accepts others beyond the valiant dead into Valhalla, for an example those trained in Runes always go to Valhalla. Skalds that are good enough also tend to get sent there. Which is the reason every man in the viking age thought he was a good skald. Secondly every god has a hall like Valhalla either in Asgard or Vanaheim, and accept the souls of those they deem worthy. Hel is a sad place but it is not a punishment. More of a lack of reward.

@@UTU49 Just seen your response (presumably Rik Thunder's comment gave KZbin's flaky notification system a nudge ?). And yep, me too (am very anti-spoiler _and_ have done it myself by accident). Even watching reactions themselves isn't risk free (i've had reactors casually - and obviously unintentionally since they don't know i'm watching :) - spoil me on a completely different show than the one they're reacting to a couple of times for instance). Basically, i'd say we as viewers shouldn't mention anything from the future of the show to be safe (even if you think you're being really clever and oblique - one person's "clever and oblique" is another person's blindingly obvious) and if I were a reactor, i'd watch the whole thing before posting.

I can't fully get into it or say I like or dislike it because I know there is a 3+ hour cut of the movie. I'm in the middle on it. But Disney doesn't do extended cuts though (as in release on Blu-Ray/DVD), so we'll never see that longer cut of the movie the director keeps talking about. They only like to stick to and release the original/theatrical cut. The 3+ hour cut is supposed to fix a lot of the problems/plot holes in Age Of Ultron. I want to see that cut. But the thing I like the most about Age Of Ultron is that it's the introduction to my favorite female MCU character. Scarlet Witch is my favorite female MCU character. I love her powers and seeing her use them. And later movies remind me why she is my favorite. She has a couple scenes in later scenes that I really enjoy and were the best parts of those movies (in my opinion). But because Mary said no spoilers, I can't say what movies the scenes are in and say any specific details about the scenes. I'm sure though that anyone that has seen the later movies know exactly what scenes I'm talking about.

@@ScreamingScallop Because it needed to do too much in an single movie. Whedon had envisioned a wholly different movie, but was overruled by Marvel. Age of Ultron was their stepping stone to Phase 3, which caused it to suffer in the character development department. That character development was more than made up for in Phase 3 though, that's why those movies are so highly regarded. Other than 2 characters there was no longer a need for a setup movie.

There is literally no limit to Hulk's strength since his strength is directly tied to his anger. No matter how angry he gets, he can always get angrier. Hulk should also be invulnerable, there really shouldn't be anything that can kill him save, presumably, for the infinity stones (and maybe Galactus). Thor, on the other hand, does have limits to his strength and can be killed (temporarily, anyway). At least, if the rules from the comics are followed in the MCU (which isn't always the case).

@@coreylevine8095 True, but Pym hadn't been introduced in the MCU yet, so it was just easier to reassign Ultron from Pym to Stark. It's one of the problems you run across when you really want to rush to the big stuff without doing the necessary setup. Both MCU and DCEU have that problem, altho DC is worse about it. It's like in Winter Soldier, they really needed to have a movie or two of Cap working with regular SHIELD agents to establish that the rank and file trusted Cap. When Cap gives his big "SHIELD has been infiltrated" speech, it would help sell the idea of Cap's trustworthiness if they had done more to set that up. Kinda like how they needed to do more to set up Thor's world before they started mucking up Asgard by killing his mom, trashing the city, etc. Kind of hard to care about the destruction if you aren't at all invested in the characters/places.

I remember when this movie came out, a lot of people misunderstood the scene where Natasha called herself a monster, thinking it was because she can't have children, and they got very mad about it. It was absurd. What made her a "monster" is the murderous job for which she got sterilized, not the sterilization itself, but some people just don't get nuance. I thought it was pretty obvious, although the extended version of the scene is better.

This movie is a spoiler all on its own. Tony and Cap's fight was a preview for Captain America: Civil War while Thor's visions and the ending with Thanos practically predict what will happen in both Ragnarok and Avengers: Infinity War. The mere mention of Wakanda is a reference to Black Panther while Dr. Strange is already mentioned back in Winter Soldier. The only movies it hasn't spoiled are the Spider-Man films, the Ant Man films, Captain Marvel, and Guardians of the Galaxy vol. 2.

Age of Ultron does tend to get lost in the mix when people think of favorite MCU films because it is more like a bridge. People forget this film is still full of amazing moments - the afterparty in the beginning (You commented that Thor looked worried, but did you notice it was because the hammer budged just a little bit for Steve?), Hulkbuster (Veronica) vs. Hulk, seeing Steve and Peggy together (even if it wasn't real), Black Widow's past (really crushing when she revealed herself to Bruce that neither of them could have a home), Clint's wonderful family, Vision and Ultron discussing the virtue/folly of mankind ...

Eh, I think Hulk might be the _second_ strongest entity in the Marvel universe, the first being Galactus. There's no limit to Hulk's strength, and he's nigh-invulnerable, but Hulk must build his strength up, he doesn't start out the strongest he can be, he has to get angrier as the fight commences. Galactus, on the other hand, can crush planets with his pinky and doesn't need any build-up process. Also, if he dies the Universe ends, so even if Hulk did beat him, he'd still have lost.
