..."I'm a survivor," rings particularly true when cast through that lens as well. Really nice parallels between the films.

I actually thought of his past self as seen in other movies of the time he's from. Up until that point he was used to just sit and wait, as he did in Guardians of the Galaxy, for example (which is the exact same time frame that Thanos is from)

@@AuthorReborn The amount of parallels drawn by the writers and the Russos was honestly kinda perfect. It's like they found juuuust the right amount of parallels they could throw in that would make fans go nuts while still retaining somewhat of a certain subtlety to them. Because honestly, anymore of them and one could maybe say they were overdoing it a bit. Lol.

@clockworkkirlia74755 жыл бұрын
I agree. I reckon that Steve wouldn't do that to Bucky again, so he probably either brought up the possibility before going on the mission or hopped back (to the FUTURE) to tell Buck specifically as soon as he realised he was going to stay in the past. The rest of them didn't need to know, but he owes it to Buck to tell him (esp. since, in saving Alter!Buck he could be risking his life).

@@bangmain5355 The outlook mentioned here is that the soul is more than just the life of a person. So it's a part of you that transcends even after death. This outlook makes me think back to the movie Gladiator. When Maximus thought he would be poisoned once the emperor knew he was alive, and his friend said to him "They must kill your name before they can kill you".
@bangmain53555 жыл бұрын
@@nicholaskinkaid I can understand that perspective... I guess I just see it differently. What they meant in Gladiator was that they have to kill your reputation before they kill you. Meaning someone with a bad reputation won't be remembered after death. Maximus's reputation was strong after his death. See how they treated his body vs the emperor? Biblically speaking... Once you die your Soul goes back from where it came. But by this logic the soul doesn't die... It still exist. They say "a soul for a soul..." But a life was taken to get the soul stone. So... For those wondering why Tony's suit and the Avengers Gauntlet could support the Infinity Stones and why Tony's shield in Infinity War could stop the beam from the Power Stone, it's because Black Panther took place in 2016 and there's two years where Vibranium could have come into Tony's possession when making the nanotech armor. Vibranium may not be as strong as the star-forged Uru that Thanos' gauntlet is made of, but it's still strong enough to hold the power of the Infinity Stones.

@@StevieTurtle37DDid you watch the beginning of Infinity War? I guess not. He knows that Steve is hanging out with the Wakandans, and he hasn't been able to face Steve, since the end of Civil War, so he isn't going to be asking Black Panther for any Vibranium. Wakanda is sharing their technology where there is need, they are not just randomly advancing everyone, he would need to ask.

@@xsanguine8 *Cough* Oakland *Cough*. Tony and T'Challa are on good terms and the two years of Wakanda sharing resources to those in need wouldn't counter a possibility that Tony could have acquired Vibranium to make his nanotech. Also, you obviously don't pay any attention because no one freaking knows Steve and Bucky have been in Wakanda. Why do you think T'Challa secretly brought them there after Civil War before leaving and returning as if he never came back. The audience knows things the characters don't. That's how movies work. Stop acting like you know anything, because you obviously don't.
