Average Guy Hi-Fi - Can I Trade Up or Sell Up?

The point of this video is to show you another pathway to saving money on your upgrades.
I’m planning on trading all of these speakers for something more valuable. Hopefully tower or bookshelf speakers, even subwoofers.
Here’s a list of what I have to trade:
Klipsch C-20 Center Channel
Polk CS2 Series II Center Channel
Klipsch RC35 Center Channel
Velodyne DPS3500R Subwoofer
I’m planning of trading or selling up, for better speakers or subs. Audio related only.
Should be fun to see what I can do, in six to eight weeks. Wish me luck!

Suggestion, take it or leave it.. leave a little space at the end of your vids with an outro.. gives some time for people to hit the "like". I know I tend to hit the thumbs up at the end of vids I watch. Good luck!

I’ve had people reach out to me, volunteering to help me with an intro/outro but I just haven’t really given it much thought. A part of me likes keeping things simple but when I go back and watch, I also think it would make my videos more professional. I truly do appreciate the suggestion though! It’s something I’ve been thinking about:)

i just found a sansui au 317 intergrated amplifier, a tu 217 tuner, and the matching cassette tape player, and top it all off a Optimus 10 band equilizer in perfect condition and i mean perfect !!!all for $500.00talk about lucked out! been looking for 2 years, it is unreal how clean the sound is!! oh i have a set of Sansui SP-X8900 speakers the one's with the 17 inch speakers in them! these are 4 way speakers! 100 decibles at 1 watt at 1 meter. cant turn past 3 or its too loud! my neighbors hate me !!

Cool idea. I got a great deal on an used areandal 1961 center a couple months ago. Just got a REL HT1205 on their closeout sale. Lots of great deals to be found.

I’m REALLY intrigued by Arendal. How do you like it? I also ordered a pair of REL HT/1205 last week but I canceled my order this morning. It’s such a great deal that I almost talked myself into it but I’ve decided to keep my 1508 Predators instead, and just move things around to accommodate them.

I have lots of systems that come and go but I keep my SVS big system and my LSIM office system. Everything else is up for grabs. Sonus Faber, Magico etc etc. Love your videos. Keep them coming!

As you probably know, KZbin does have a library of royalty free music that is free of charge, but it’s not the greatest of music. There are subscription services such as epidemic sound and art list that have better options but you have to pay a monthly fee and once you end the subscription you can no longer use the music so I guess that means old videos would be blocked? I just use the music offered on KZbin, but that is mainly for background music, I don’t do any sound demos for this very reason. 7:42

Ivlove looking for deals but unfortunately i have the least tambor matched home theater on planet earth probably. Tambor is not the be all end all ive realized though, in fact not even close as long as your buying good speakers and not mixing horns with standard tweeters. I now have a 9.1.6 with 7 subs. Every time i add or replace a Speaker for a better one the experience gets better. I prefer doing it this way because your constantly improving sound and getting enjoyment from amazing bang for buck deals out there. Plus its boring to buy the same speakers for everything.

Yeah, they sure aren’t fun. I’ve been playing audio in my videos ever since I started this channel so more than 50% of my content has been demonetized. Not the end of the world m, since I wasn’t sure the direction of the channel. I actually reached out to Techno Dad, to see if he’d be willing to make me a copyright free CD, with a couple songs I can use. He responded so we are working things out, via email. Thanks for the suggestion, my man!

I don't know why you don't try to make money flipping gear. I told you about the Martin Logan Dynamo 500 sub I got but I don't know if I told you I picked it up for $50 in mint shape. It retailed for $500 as well as a pair of Castle Knight speakers (also in mint shape) that retailed for $550/pair I got for $80 and part of the reason I bought them is to flip them for a profit. I haven't sold either yet partly because i'm lazy but also because I still enjoy listening to them but you always say you sell your gear for whatever you paid but if you get a great deal, why not try to make a few bucks as well?

I sell 95% of the equipment I review locally, right after the video is published. If the equipment doesn’t end up in my system but I don’t want to sell it, it ends up in my storage unit. I just have too many speakers and not enough room:(

@@kcr2365 I was happy when he moved into a house. He’s still swimming in audio equipment but it’s a much better space. If I move into a larger space, I’ll just fill it with subs and amps, so I’m not in a big rush. Haha
