I just got one of those. It's definetely blueish grey. Under the sun light it's grey, but under low light conditions more like icey blue. A friend of mine, also a watch collector thought this was a U$ 500 watch! Just Beautiful.

I stumbled on this watch on the Sakura website looking for a Seiko chrono with a grey-ish dial under 42mm. It ticked all the boxes and the blue hue struck me as an interesting extra that would make the whole picture even more interesting. So I looked on YT for some moving footage and found your review. I am ordering one tomorrow for about $160 including 20% import taxes. I'm still trying to decide between a black leather strap and a Staib melanese mesh bracelet (which is slightly more expensive than the watch.....🙄 But darnn, sooo beautiful...). For me this is the correct price for a Seiko, when the start going double, triple the price your getting the exact same quality just with a cheap auto movement far less sophisticated than this or a watch in the current trendy style that everyone seems to like and Seiko just mark up the price. Every time I have thought about a Turtle I’ve gone and handled it and could not buy as it feels and is the same quality as their watches in this price range. Oh, and I love the brand enough to own a Grand Seiko so I’m no Seiko hater, I just think so many of the standard models Between $450-$1500 have the same build quality as this!

Great looking piece, and it totally looks blue-gray on my monitor. I'm looking more at these mecaquartz calibers lately, I just wish I knew more about how they differ from each other. You said this one is an 8T. I've seen a lot of VKs out there, but never an 8T and I'm curious now what the difference is. As a motorsport fan, I had been looking at the Yema chrono, but I think the battle has been joined for my first mecaquartz purchase now. Great find!

Basically, they rebranded the 8T as the VK to sell to other watch manufacturers. They already have the design and the tooling, so why not sell the movements for extra profit?

Thanks for the video. Just picked one up. Looks very nice. I wasn't sure if it would be too big or too heavy for my wrist but it was fine. My only quibble is that the date is a bit difficult to read because it is at an angle, it is inset fairly deep, and the font they use is a bit small. I wish they would make this solar powered and use a titanium case and bracelet, as I would be prepared to pay a little more for such a watch.

It is pretty. I just find it amazing that the Pagani design “Daytona” with ceramic, sapphire, screw pin “easy link” Rolex style bracelet, and this very same movement was only $55 (with some discounts). Ahhh the crazy watch world:)

I recently picked one of these up. I absolutely love it, but has anyone else had an issue with slightly wiggly chrono pushers? After a week of use, the pushers on my watch move from side to side slightly, and I can hear the rubber gaskets squeaking against the metal when they shift around like this. It isn't that severe--they're not that loose, and it doesn't interfere with functionality. But it just feels a little crappy, and I worry about compromised water resistance. Is this normal, or should I send it back for another copy?

Color temperature of your videos is usually very cold/bluish. Clearly looks blue on the video but probably not accurate to RL.
