yeah, like if Tarkov gave me the ability to choose which side the DT-MDR ejected out of I'd put it to left side even though that's inaccurate. Though they did get the ejection wrong funnily enough, it ejects shells when a bullet is fired, when irl it ejects whenever the bolt returns to battery, meaning that it doesn't eject the last shell in the magazine until after you insert the next one and the bolt drops. Literally unplayable we should totally call a mafia hit on bsg to have them skinned alive for that one lmao. That being said it would be sick as fuck if someone made a titan-fall 3 (or spiritual successor to tf2) where you get to dual wield QCB DT-MDR's with the ejection ports flinging shells at each-other so you get to watch the brass of both guns hit each-other mid-air sometimes. Would be very sick as fuck.

And the counterpoint to this is a sandbox/museum game called H3VR, where the entire point is accuracy to the maximum, and to see how players handle extremely obscure weapons in a zombie RPG or roguelike mode against giant hotdog people. Max accuracy is fun in its own way.

I think something that one should consider in deciding whether an inaccuracy matters is the reason why anyone cares to be accurate in the first place, namely immersion. As long as an inaccuracy doesn't negatively impact your immersion then there's functionally nothing wrong with it. To take a counterpoint from the video though I do feel like the M16 from Black may be a step too far. It's hard to suspend my disbelief that you could somehow fit almost 100 rounds in that tiny box, it feels like it breaks reality in a similar fashion as if there was one random goon that used telekinesis which was never expanded upon or explained. Giving it some kind of drum or quad-stacked mag would've made it feel better I think, regardless of how inaccurate those alternatives may have also been.

They probably based the changes of the TS12 on the SRM 1216, which is a semi-auto 12 gauge shotgun which uses a 16-round cylclindrical magazine (hence the name 1216). Funny thing is, they featured the 1216 before in Call of Duty, that being in Black Ops 2. So why they just didn’t make a legally distinct version of that or just ported the assets from the previous game and updated them is anyone's guess.

@SethAbercromby8 ай бұрын
It's not really about animating it in the sense of making things move right, those guys are certified black wizards in terms of animation precision and quality. In a game you have to balance that with how to pace the animation, how it's going to interact with game flow, how to make all that feel satisfying to the player. In that sense an oddball loading mechanism like that becomes incredibly difficult to work around in a game where TTK is already measured in the fractions of a second.
@ph-10128 ай бұрын
5:52 rewatch it, its not a complete animation, it was made for third person and its much less detailed then what you'd expect from MWII, its also not an accurate animation to the real TS12, the mag can't spin freely like that and he stops the spin without touching it. he probably deliberately did that to emphasise the whole point of the video, not even his animation was accurate.
@Issenthevampire7 ай бұрын
@SethAbercromby makes perfect sense! TTK might be an interesting topic of discussion at some point in parallel to reload times and animations.

Its more dependent on the games settings for me personally, if i buy a ww2 game *vanguard* then i see a gun in it that is completely altered/doesn’t even work at all how its supposed to its more bothersome, the MX guardian was a issue for me because it had similar versions in other cod games that still worked fine Same with MW3, I didn’t buy that game because its just not even really Modern, its just really AW. Other than that exceptional video editing and production like normal
@peppermillers83618 ай бұрын
Good video. Although the tangent about the LeMat was a bit weird, since the gun was created in Belgium. The confederacy used a lot of revolvers in general, including a bunch of brass framed Colts and Remingtons. With Black I sort of agree that the guns are satisfying, and I do wish that games today were as stylish as Black (while maintaining a bit more accuracy), Black's guns are also REALLY slow at times (more than they should be), and the game being fairly mediocre doesn’t help.

I enjoy the amount of effort you put in the visual side of this vid but I have to say it seems a bit odd you focus entirely on games that made these changes as gameplay concessions, far more common in my eyes are games that get things wrong just because ??? For example anything Sledgehammer games touches. It's honestly weird how you focused entirely on MW22 when half of MW23s arsenal has something wrong with it to varying degrees and not for any gameplay reasons (and also not copyright before anyone pulls that old argument, I doubt any Russian company is gonna bother suing over the AN94 or an even more extreme example being any of Vanguards mess ups, I don't think Georg Luger is still doing a lot of suing these days) Also the Vector being changed for "idk trademark" is pretty funny when KRISS USA commented on the matter saying something along the lines of "we have no issue with a game using our gun accurately, they didn't even ask us tho".

Amazing video as always but i just gotta appreciate how your animation skills have developed over these videos, getting better and better. Keep it up!

Dude this is the craziest edited video I've ever seen, It's like you spent 100 hours on every minute perfecting the animation and flows and stuff, this is crazy! It's honestly visually astounding and I would 100% pay a ton of money for every 10 videos on youtube to be this good... like... thousands of dollars (if I had that much money)

Now this is what I call content creation, never heard of your channel before, really good stuff.

I honestly agree on the long reload part, if the faithfully recreated the ts12 it would have been another MWIII striker that had an obnoxiously long reload. to me it seems like a mix between the TS12 and the Model 1216. The m1216 has a rotary 4 tube removable mag in the same place, but you have to rotate it every 4 shots. It feels like the functionality of it mixed with the shape of the ts12.
