Avi said Aberdeen was a place they always passed through on the way to where his mother was raised when he was a child and he always wanted to write a song about it. This is that song. The horse's name is Snip, Avi said that he used to ride when he was younger but it had been about 20 years since he had ridden a horse and he was going to give Snip lots of carrots and apples. I love Avi's voice. I could listen to him all day long.

I was so sad when he first left Pentatonix. But now seeing him make such amazing music and that incredible voice shining through, I am happy. I like to think he is happier too.

He is so enormously talented vocally, instrumentally, and artistically, His voice transcends words and transports me to another place. It is so pure and beautiful. On top of all this, he is one of the nicest, kindest, and dear people I have ever had the privilege to meet. And now I learn he can gallop on a horse and whistle in harmony! What a man!

Yes, on the eastern sierra, 3 hours from me! I loved seeing a lot of the mountains that I am familiar with, every year when the pass opens (hwy 120 Tioga Pass, 10,000 elevation) I take a trip over just to visit....lol its opening this year late, on Monday, yay!

Actually he was born and raised in Visalia, California, not far from Fresno. His mother was born and raised in Bishop, CA, near where this was filmed, I believe.

This is the first time I’ve heard this song...I loved it.To me it has sort of a Celtic sound in some of the harmonies. Avi’s voice has a haunting quality in this song, Thanks for your reaction.

Watched it last night when it was released here. I really like Avi. He's just now coming into his own zone. I think once he gets a chance to relax and just give his vocals his soul unrestrained he will be one of the best. I'm really thinking he has all the right things going for him and I'm just watching greatness being born. He's starting out strong and his legs look healthy!......Wheres Blue been hiding lately?

Avi is a true Artist in so many ways. His well-trained incredible voice is so good at adapting to multiple styles of music. He has posted many photos he has taken over the last couple of years, and they are breathtaking. And the way he selects the locations for his videos-it takes a very good eye to see the potential of a place. Then the design of the video-what and how he wants it shot-is so imaginative. Each of the videos he has released recently is very different the others. And I love that each song is different from the others as well. Every time I hear one of his songs I feel as though I just received a warm, embracing hug. Ok, no hugs from Change on the Rise, but great inspiration. Thanks for the great reaction, Pat.

Already heard the song but the studio version is soo good!! I love his voice ( his tone is so special), the vibe of the song and the harmonizing whistling at the end And the places he takes us to in all the video's are so gorgrous, they make you want to go there . His music is definitely a change on the rise!!

i really like the music Avi is putting out. I am surprised that he seems to be teetering on the line between folk and country music. It reminds me of the end of Ring Of Fire with Home Free when he switches his beanie for a cowboy hat.

Love the song. For me id change the word Aberdeen to Oceanside, then change evergreens to ocean breeze. Being born and raised in California', then moving away, you do feel the pull to go back home. California is different from everywhere else in the world.

💥Avi was a champian rodeo rider growing up...he stated on his Instagram that he hasn't ridden a horse in 20 years...Avi is AMAZING!!.....💫Just so you know this genre of music is Folk....which personally I prefer much more than Country ....it is just so genuine...🌟Avi is an AMAZING SONG WRITER and his voice is A DREAM!!!😇...I MISS him TERRIBLY in PTX but I'm happy he is still doing music...Also he is an aspiring Chef!!!😬.....SO MUCH TALENT in these PTX members!!!🌟

I think the champion rider thing came from a Sing Off clip where he and Kevin were goofing each other.. He did ride some as a little kid but not to a great extent. He is a wonderful singer however, there's no question about that for sure. I'm loving all the new music and can't wait for the next.

Aberdeen, California is about 40 miles north of Mount Whitney, California (highest point in the continental U.S.) and 82 miles north west of Death Valley, California (the lowest point in the United States) the two are only 135 miles apart from each other. Aberdeen is located in the high desert adjacent to National Forests in the Sierras. It is not far from the giant Sequoias, the largest trees on the planet. Aberdeen is also south of Bristlecone Pine forest which has the oldest trees on the planet at 4,000 years old. With such natural majesty surrounding his location, this song is very apt.

Wow he can ride. That was so clean. He had said in some PTX video that he used to ride and had many blue ribbons but he was teased about it by Scott. I found the teasing odd at the time.
