If memory serves me right Avi won the first ever award for human bass guitar, and is a classically trained opera singer. During the competition show "The Sing Off" Avi and Kevin got to be know as "Meat and Potatoes"because of the way they held down rhythm section in Pentatonix.
@bealueck36304 жыл бұрын
Avi did all the vocal tracks, including the killer bass undertones. There are instruments, mainly percussion, playing. Live version includes keyboard, drums, bass and electric guitars. Check out Full Moon to hear more of his higher range. He has an acoustic version - with him playing the guitar while singing.

I may be wrong, but in more than one comment from Avi, there is an organ and a drum accompanying him. It’s very subtle though. Most of it is just Avi.
@janetranslates4 жыл бұрын
@@jeancaldwell5391 You're not wrong. I think there's more percussion than just a drum, but he tweeted right after the premiere that he uses some percussion and "a little bit of organ," but that all the vocals are him. My impression is that he didn't necessarily PLAY the organ and percussion (though I'm sure he could).

Yess , my favorite , you make my day :) :) !! I love his music (and him as a person as well ) , it's so different then with PTX ( which I love as well ), but his own music is more folk/bleugrass. I love the tone of his voice, it's like dark chocolate :), so warm and rich !! He's a great vocalist , but does a lot of whistling in his songs and he can do overtone singing , you should check that out, it's awesome !! All the vocals you hear are his , there's only some organ in it and a tambourine I think. Other great songs are "Full Moon" , " I'll get by" , "Born in California" . Well , actually every song of him is great ( sorry, I will stop fangirling now , LOL )

Full Moon has been my anthem lately. Well, more like the song that eases my stress and calms my soul.

@@jelinenanashi9466 I saw him singing this song with a choir a year ago on KZbin and fell in love with the song right away. It made me so happy that it's on his new EP :) !

The acoustic version that he did on the you tube livestream with his band is my absolute favorite version of Full Moon. His voice was stellar in that one.

Always love Avi reactions. All voices are him, tracked.

On his studio tracks he does a bunch of layering/harmonizing with his own voice, mixes his low notes with instruments like cello, base drum etc, adds whatever he feels like to create the atmosphere he initially imagined for said song to have At concert the arrangements are more "concert-y" (I think I don't know how to say), with band that changes, and his voice live is the frickin SAME quality if not better 👌🤩

He has so many textures & such a range. I love hearing the different colors in his voice from song to song. This was his raw carnal sound. All him. His creation. Love it!! I also loved the melancholic strength in his vulnerability in the PTX cover of Imagine (all of PTX were genius of course.....plus......John Lennon❤) & their original song Run to You (mostly penned by himself & Kevin).....it's literally ethereal. I get lost EVERY TIME.
