Hi! We’ll start building an indoor 4x2 meters aviary. Floor is parquet. Can you tell what you use on floors? Artificial grass? How do you manage the cleaning? Thanks
@Echosaviary Жыл бұрын
So my outdoor aviary floor is rubber pond liner and a bunch of stuff on top of that. For indoor, I would recommend you consider protecting the floor from water primarily (bath, drinking, cleaning) as that can cause damage, the rest is just mess containment and a surface for the birds to forage.

If you don’t mind me asking which state are you in that has the new laws?
@Echosaviary Жыл бұрын
These are federal laws. Modifications to the animal welfare act. Check out USDA/APHIS regulations info at American Federation of Aviculture to learn more

What do you have available
@Echosaviary Жыл бұрын
At the moment, I am good. All depends on what the regulations say. Don’t want to keep pairs of the rare species if I won’t be able to breed them. So if they have to go, I will find folks who have their USDA certification and have a breeding program going for each species already. Hopefully that will keep them in US aviculture. 🤞🏽🤞🏽

I pray we find a solution so we can continue to make the bloodlines available in thr USA 🙏🏾🙏🏾
