Josh... wow.. When I was not much older than you (MANY years ago) I remember my 'life's work' beginning - for me in professional music - and my partner in crime at the time, Greg, saying to me.. "Grant! Don't MISS this.. These ARE the 'good ole days'.. we'll be talking about when we're over 60"... He was right.. and I DID drink in EVERY moment! And now.. I just hit 60.. Though still lots to do and dream even at 60.. there's NOTHING like it when you're young, outta school, and doing it for your living. EVERY day is 'play' ! And to get to do it with someone you LOVE too. WOW!. 60 will arrive for you too WAAAAAY faster than you can possibly imagine now.. SO DRINK IT ALL IN, sir! Love your stuff for several years now. Thanks for letting us in the jump seat with ya!!

So well said. It brings to mind my wife and I flying when we were first married. She was beautiful and I was, well... young. Now almost 40 years have flown by and I can't get my mind wrapped around it. Josh is blessed to have these years documented well in film.

Josh, just wanted to comment to you that while your flying is fun and educational, the quality of your video production is top shelf. The cinematography is better than 98% of what's on YT and at least as good as the other two percent. The story line, well, tells a story. One that keeps us hooked till the end. And the music isn't just some tune you like on the radio but is well calculated to create the emotion the scene requires. You're not just a pilot, you're a movie maker. Can't wait for the next box office hit

In my various trips to this canyon all have been wonderful. Starting with a mule ride to the bottom in 1966, next in 1979, a low pass through the canyon in a C-141 Starlifter air force cargo jet before any flight restrictions were enacted. In 1985 I took my family on a helicopter tour over the canyon from Grand Canyon National Park Airport (GCN) awesome flight and views. My last visit was in January 2014, included a short 300 yard hike down the Bright Angel Trail. (Inquiring about mule rides, I learned they have a one year waiting list.) Your flight video captured most of what I saw in nearly 50 years. Excellent video. I love your composition and editing, along with a great aviation flying storyline. MOST EXCELLENT!

This is amazing. I flew a lot with my father as a child. As a teenager, I began to learn to fly in my dad's '71 American AA-1A. Unfortunately, my health quickly and without warning faded. I never got to solo. Now, I'm 44 years old and still love flight. It's been a long time since I've been in the cockpit, but truly love following your experiences. Oh how I would trade all my time flying when I was young to be able to have just one flight like this with my beautiful wife of 20 years.

I love your channel! I have been a closet pilot all my life (simulator flying and "intro" flights almost everywhere I've traveled). I am a retired submarine officer and a civilian sailor, and so my life has been very full - I don't regret any of it. But... the one thing missing is a private pilot's license - I just never made it a priority. Sometimes I wish I had, but then I might have missed other wonderful things I did do. So... I live vicariously through your adventures. Please be safe, cherish Chelsea (she is a wonderful woman), and enjoy life!

I have never made it to the Grand Canyon but in 1974 on the way from Indiana to California for basic training I was flown on TWA and we flew over it at I'm guessing in the neighborhood of 36,000'-40,000'. The pilot actually pointed it out to us and also flew a circle over it. (Unlike today, airlines used to do things like that and everyone was friendly.) The size was massive seeing it from that altitude and the river literally looked like a thread laying on the floor while standing above it. I may never get a chance to see it again but if I was given the choice of an all expense paid trip around the world or a 2 day trip to the Grand Canyon, I would definitely take the Canyon trip.

My dad was at Kingman airport in the 1940s, visiting the yard where they were scrapping the WWII aircraft. He was a VP at a defense company and also a pilot. The yard manager asked him if he wanted anything -- a nameplate, an engine, a whole aircraft. My dad took a couple of small souvenirs from one of the B-29s. It's a shame he didn't have the foresight to grab a B-29 or a P-51!

Great video once again Josh! You are so very great at bringing out the raw emotion of flight. We live and fly out of Kanab, UT and get to experience the beauty of Southern Utah and Northern Arizona routinely. Might I suggest, another hop over the big ditch and a flight around Zion NP and Bryce Canyon? A stop at Kanab (KKNB) is always good for "cheaper" fuel and lunch at Houston's Trails End. Just a suggestion! Thanks for sharing this with all of us!

Another great Video Josh. Because of your first flight into Marble Canyon I to made the trip from Albuquerque to Page then down into the canyon, landed, walked over to the little store and paid my $5 landing fee and walked down to the bridge. One of my favorite photos I have is of my C-172N sitting on the runway with the canyon walls in the background. I look at it every day on my desk. Also your previous video Killing Zone really resonated with me. I am about 600 hours in and I too made some really questionable decisions once I got my ticket and a few hours under my belt and felt invincible. I am also much wiser and careful now. Will be headed out to Vegas from ABQ in a few weeks. First long Cross country in a while. If you cross through Albuquerque in a few months headed back to TX. Stop in at KAEG (Double Eagle) and I would be happy to pick you up and take you for a green chili cheese burger. Fly safe.

Wow, at 13:21 when walking on the PGA ramp, in the background there are three lime green C-T207s with numbers 3, 7, and 11 on them..... 20 years ago I used to fly those planes for a company called Air Grand Canyon...callsign was "Adventure"..... flew air tours over the east end of the canyon from the Grand Canyon National Park Airport (GCN). The owner wanted them that Green color because no one would forget them once you see them..... that was my first professional flying job..... that company was sold to another air tour operator in the mid 2000's.... had no idea there were still some "Greeny Weenies" still out there!.. Came back to add to my post: I just realized those parked airplanes at Kingman are former Expressjet EMB-145s.... I flew those as well..... sad to see them parked like that... the 2020 covid industry downfall put ExpressJet out of business when United didn't renew their contract..... that was a thriving regional airline when I was there 15 years ago.....
