Those non native English bloggers make mistakes because in their native languages its spoken like that, thus they transfer forms of their language into English.

A native speaker is not a person who lives in USA or whatnot. It is a person who was born in an English-speaking environment and speaks English entire life.

I've been pondering over whether this Ariannita person is in fact a native speaker of American English or not. She claims she is, and actually, 'la gringa' means she is from the US. I feel lost, though, when I see her saying things that Americans wouldn't say, for instance, "how do you call..." or not knowing what the rear lights are called. That makes me think suspiciously on her true native language and how scammy it is when you say you're from a country when you're not because, come on, seriously, an American would say 'squeeze the towel' over 'wring it out'... (? Food for thought.

I so love your courses, I share your youtube Channel to all my Friends in my whatsapp contact and I also encourage them to subscribe and like. I love your wife and you. I love you both. Whoahhh this girl Arianna calls herself a "native speaker". No native speakers on Earth would say "how do you call...". At least the other two do say they're Slavs. They're all very fluent and have a clear American accent but still make many mistakes no teacher should do. Maybe they should try teaching for beginners only, so they'd address on the basics , it'd be less likely they fail plus it'd still be a good help for someone who speaks 0 to little English.

She talks very simple english and doesn't sound like a native one at all. I've seen her making basic grammar mistakes every once in a while. What do they call the people who pretend to be someone they're not? Right a wannabe.

@deathknight6255 that's bad. I think her English is great, but she could've told the truth if she is non native.
@jaxxon98 Жыл бұрын
Saying "how do you call" instead of "what do you call" something is not a mistake I'd expect a native speaker to make. I think that's something you learn in childhood. She also said "this slushy and this popcorn IS delicious" instead of ARE delicious.
