Exactly! Most people shrug off the " weird instict,or gut feeling" the first sense that pops up when you meet someone. They re-think it and convince themselves that the " feeling or sense" is wrong.

What she's saying about seeing how they react to arguments makes so much sense. It's better to fake an argument early on just to see their reaction (for safety reasons) rather than potentially wait however long, when you're already invested and the relationship gets serious, because by that point you're probably less likely to drop the person. I don't know if there's a term for this, but the more familiar a person is to you, the less likely you are to call them out when they say/do something toxic in order to "keep the peace." I'm talking about situations without a power imbalance (which you're obviously much less likely to leave the relationship for a myriad of reasons.)

"Before you get married, at least have a couple of arguments with them to see how they are when they get angry and how you resolve conflicts together..." 🤔 Wow. I'm in UK. I've dated a few people but it never lasted long at all. So I don't consider myself experienced in relationships. We never argued (maybe that was the problem?) - except one guy who argued with me... 🤔 Come to think of it now, I'd add: be smart enough to recognise a bad situation, strong enough to walk away, and have the confidence enough to break it off when it's not right. I was shy and timid then. He was cruel and I should've left then and there. He left me shortly afterwards so it worked out. Thank you to this pretty lady! Her advice is gold ✨

She made a lot of valid points and good advice. Personal experience in dating Korean men, most (not all) only dated me, a foreigner, just for the experience and to brag to their friends. And most are "mummy's boys"-like they marry for their mothers. They wouldn't marry someone their mum can't communicate well with, so MUST be fluent in Korean; they wouldn't marry someone who refuses to let their mum live with them; they wouldn't marry someone who refuses to consult their mum in family decisions; they wouldn't marry someone who refuses to slave away serving all the male relatives during chuseok; they wouldn't marry someone who makes them help in house chores because their mum wouldn't allow their precious son to be involved in any of that.

This is very wise! The only thing which I`d add to it is- listen very carefully what a person is telling about former boyfriend/ girlfriend becouse, probably, the next his/ her botfriend/ girlfriend will hear the same about you. Some people are not able to keep themselves within the bounds of decency and after disputing with them you will not be able to communicate with them anymore. So the earlier you find it out the better.

But women love arguing with men that they are dating, and when they lose the argument, they resort to name calling. When the man lost, they wouldn't let it go even after apologizing. And it's a very huge red flag if you try to fake argue out of nowhere, that's a drama queen. You don't need to actually fake it, you will be in conflict sooner or later anyway.
