This is my 5th year as a BA and Kara’s advice is pure gold….please listen to her! I had a hard time my first year because I came from an analytical role where I had tasks assigned. This job is actually not easy because it requires a lot of critical thinking, analysis, planing, monitoring, communicating etc. and Nobody will tell you the tasks to perform, you create your daily tasks yourself. They only care about your results and deliverables! I wish I had Kara when I started! Thanks for helping us…especially POC ❤️❤️❤️

Notes: - You self-manage as a BA. You will not be told what to do. You will not be told steps. You must figure it out and ask permission along the way. - ECBA is a good thing to have. But you do not need it to start your career. - Take the shortcut to get there. Get there. Then get the extra stuff later. - Don't focus on specializing right now. You can specialize later. - Take the shortest path. Take a course to understand the basic of Business Analyst. This will give you exposure to terms. Jargon. To the way we work. Practice with case studies. Beware: Some of the case studies on the courses are far too easy to give you a warm feeling upon completion. You need challenging, real-world case studies. Karaleise offers real-world case studies in her course(s). 1. Learn. 2. Practice. 3. Resume. 4. Apply. 5. Interview

Trained in BA with a course, took a little close to two years to get the job. I am proud to say I did the job without lying but tweaking. It wasn't easy. The way to keep myself conscious despite everything, is to understand the role I wanted with God. I have a special role I want with him so even if no one gets me, I don;t believe in selling my project or crown to the devil entirely. A few taint here and there but the gospel remains. The last person told me to put 7 years of experience and I got his message but I kept going while tweeaking here and there until a contract came in. BSA II and the highest salary ever offered even without asking. Currently typing this from the Job. Lesson is to keep God at the center and remain real as Karaleise while doing the odd jobs to get buy. Loving the personality is Karaleise's message is simply irresistible.

Thank you so much for speaking the truth!! I have fallen victim to thinking I had to lie on my resume and internally it made me feel horrible! I knew God could not bless that! I fixed my resume to transfer my experience to a BA role, done multiple more interviews being completely open and honest and the right opportunity presented itself with a company willing to invest in my professional development! When I humbled myself and asked for God's will to be done and not my own, His plan came to pass not mine!! And it was better than what I could of imagined! Your consulting definitely helped me a bunch! Everything you are saying is so true! All the certs are good but to just get started, just get your foot in the door! Thank you for all your help!

Karaleise!!! all mi cuda se is true true true while listening to this video. That last part about learning on the job, learning the BA intv, applying for Senior BA roles after a year resonated with me because im going thru all of that right now. Only 3 months into the job and I have stories i could share with you lol. One tip I have for future BAs is to learn how to navigate grooming sessions. That has been my greatest weakness so far but im slowly overcoming it. Big up everytime!

I'm so in love with you @Karaleise. The truth is hard and there are so many misinformation out there and people forcing people that changing your role to a BA is the new easy way to make money. As a practicing BA, I can relate with this video and I can attest it's not a walk in the park. Certifications does not get the job done because for some it is practicing and cramming the answers. I am looking forward to a personal consultation with you in the nearest future.

Now i am clear that now i need to focus more on making my hands dirly and get more knoledge of Ba and more applications i am working. Which will help me out in understaning application and their detaild fuctionality. Which will help me in my interview. Also will not fake in my resume about instead will tweek little bit towards ba experience insted faking whole experince. Also will work more on making business flow diagrams , frd and brds. Thanks for watching. Its ok don't feel bad. You will watch my videos and learn the role and you can find more resources on my website www.karaleise.com. I am trying to warn people because i know how the hiring process is right now. The employers have been burned by people who are faking it so they have devised ways to combat this. They will give you a case study on the spot or they give an unannounced test or some even give you access to their tools and ask you to write requirements in front of them. This is not a job you can fake. But dont worry I am here to help you!
