minute 9:30 just for your information, gyros arent required for rotation just have steering thrusters (the ones that are also used for strafing) in locations best far from the center of mass. they are very decent for rotation as well

I find they look a bit ugly, especially in small ships if you keep seeing puffs of thruster whenever you turn, I like the three gyro setup somewhere I in the middle if the craft, it just makes it look a bit sleeker

In the unlikely case you haven't found this out by now: Containers can contain (lol) extremely valuable items or messages. The items tend to catapult you forwards immensly. But to figure out the container quickly, you would have to install an upgrade module that shows you the valuable items in your current sector.

If you have a proper scanner installed (I think yellow upward) they might have not only the ability to tell you that something worthwhile is in the sector but actually mark it once you are close enough. They have money and upgrades in most cases.

Gotta be Honest your sort of Content is really relaxing , since it's not overloaded with sensory information. No loud screaming instead a calm and relaxing voice, commenting on what's going on. And occasional joke or some reaction of yours and yea really solid stuff! Also I suspect you of being really authentic, unlike most YT-folks you tend to be like [yourself] not like a [version of yourself that people wanna see] - I think lindsay Ellis did a Video on that topic [Manufacturing Authenticity] - this creates a certain feelin, at least for my part , of not [consuming] a product but simply watching some person sharing them enjoying videogames. stealth, a sleek looking Space Craft is usually more strucualy stable, a perfect ball would be ideal but thats not reallistic, but giving a ship "aerodynamic forms like in startrek would allow for athmospheric flight

No mention of solar cells 20:15. You can produce as much power as a generator with solar cells if you handle them properly. They work by surface area of the block, and having other blocks adjacent to them does not affect that. Take a 1 x 1 x 1 m solar cube and place a 1 x 1 x 1 m hull cube next to it. Now place two more cubes adjacent to these in a checkerboard pattern, then take all four of those and do a checkerboard pattern underneath to create a 2 x 2 x 2 m cube made of 1 x 1 x 1 m blocks, in a checkerboard configuration where no two adjacent blocks are the same. Now duplicate this 2 x 2 x 2 m cube and use it as your base block, going however many blocks you want in every direction. A 1 x 1 x 1m solar cube produces 6 MW of energy, our 2 x 2 x 2 m cube has 4 solar blocks for a total of 24 MW. The starter block is a 20 x 20 x 20 m block. If you replaced it with this checkerboard block you would get 24 GW of power. Yes that is Gigawatts, NOT Megawatts. It is also lighter and just as durable as an iron hull block, and costs a LOT less than a Titanium Generator block of the same size. Also because it can have other blocks adjacent to it and still operate you can place it anywhere and still have it work. It doesn't have to be exposed to the sun at all. Oh, and the second block doesn't have to be a hull block, you could use other blocks instead, like Armor, Integrity Field Generator, Shield Generator, or even Energy Container. Something to think about.

It doesn't need to be aerodynamic in space. but physics still applies all the same. like if a tank shell hits another tank at a sharp enough angle the round may bounce. same rules apply here. but for Avorion its just aesthetics.

Here I am two years later explaining container fields. I don't really understand why theres so much confusion around these. I see a lot of people actively disliking them or just being confused by them. Even your captains say "theres a container field here" I am in avorion 2.0 though. I do recall containers being lootable before but not how I found the lootable ones. Heres what you can do with them as of the date of me posting this. Other than making load times way longer for not so beefy pcs, they spawn with containers that have loot inside them. In the part of the galaxy you're at, the unlocked containers typically have a yellow item or two as well as 50k credits. I find that theres only one thats unlocked and 2-3 secured containers. You need a special subsystem I've yet to see to crack them and to my understanding, you can trigger pirate raids on the system if you open them This goes for secret stashes and containers found in the fields How do you tell which ones have loot? The secured containers have the name... "Secured container." Crazy right? The normal ones aren't easy to find. I'd bring a object locater subsystem. It will highlight all the containers for you. All you have to do is get within .15 km or so, select them and interact with them. If you don't have the subsystem, your time is better spent mining or killing pirates for the money and loot that container would give if you find it. Hopefully that helps!

Sure, you don't need aerodynamics in space, but if your spacecraft is intended to be capable of atmospheric flight as well, like fighters and landing craft, then some aerodynamics will be an advantage.

Loosely, bc in avorion you can scale the blocks any axis you like and stick the blocks together on any face. Also you can scale the positioning grid and define wether you position on global or local grid. On the other hand FtD's physics engine is far more complex. Therefor you have to actually take care of the shape of your crafts. etc I really enjoyed building my capital ship in Avorion but i'm hopelessly desperate and lost in FtD.^^
