Brilliant movie, its in my top two from the predator series. The director cut is worth getting. For anyone interested, there is a museum in Woking that had/has some props from this movie on display there.

Saw it in theaters when it first came out. Still have my original dvd and blue ray copies of the first and second film. Hard to believe its been twenty years.

Honestly I never really had a problem with the setting, other than it being on modern-day Earth (or Earth at all). Everyone complained that the Antarctic setting disrupted canon for the Predators, but for one, everyone completely forgets that the pyramid had a heat bloom, which is how the satellite was able to find it; on top of that, some characters, including Lex, was seen having taken off their overcoats, implying that the temperature inside the temple was much warmer than outside, so it cancels out. Even if they went full Winter Wonderland, I found it interesting how this clan was going against the norm of their preferred temperature. Personally I saw it as a means to test their limits further, especially considering how it was clear from even the first two movies that not every clan is the same, and this was just their way of standing out from the others. Also thank God you said it: Colonial Marines is NOT necessary to make a good AVP movie. It would definitely be a "fun" movie, but that's not the same as being "good", and would just be a another popcorn B-movie flick like this, which everyone (at the time) hated.

Лично мне нравится этот фильм. Он интересный, интересный сюжет, отличные спецэффекты, хорошие костюмы, отличные декорации, неплохие экшен сцены, хорошая музыка и по своему неплохая атмосфера. Надеюсь что когда нибудь выйдет новый фильм, о противостоянии Чужого и Хищника

It wasn't great but it wasnt bad either i seen it in theater it had some good action. When predator sliced that xenomorph without looking and shook its head was pretty cool and got some good reactions in the theater.

That movie has aged 20 years and to me it seemed like one of the best crossovers I've ever seen. Now, with the years, I think it deserves a new Alien versus Predator movie or A new video game who knows but well it has already been said that the developer of Alien Isolation is planning a sequel, what Fede Álvarez said when he made the Alien Romulus movie, what is he thinking about Making a movie about someone versus predator with dan trastemberg but who knows, time will tell 🤔

There is an audiobook of the novel on youtube. It has 5 predators in it instead of 3. More fight scenes. It's better than the movie.

I love the movie predators from the first day i wantched part 1. I would love to see a female predator play in the movie. With the small predators from the predators 1 2 and alien vs predator it's more exciting. Now the movie prey with the giant predators it's less action to me they are bulletproof and don't have as much action from the smaller predators. It's even sean on TV the smaller predators have used more lethal weapons and better than the giant predators. I still love the movie predators and prey but prey is not as exciting and the predators. Think about it with the predators so giant their facemasks come off so easily compared to the small predators whos facemasks have to be disconnected from the air hose it's more realistic.
