I completely agree that you don't have to be skinny to be a model but there's no need to act naive: it helps a whole lot to be skinny in order to become a model. Fashion brands only wanting skinny women to show off their clothes is problematic, but you wanting to be skinny in order to become a model is not problematic! You are pursuing a dream which becomes more attainable with certain characteristics. It's the equivalent of an athlete wanting to gain muscle: it helps them more easily pursue their dream of becoming a professional athlete. This is a sensitive subject for a lot of people so I feel like it makes sense to clarify. Go pursue your dream and do everything you can (within reason) to make it happen!!

I really like taking group exercise classes (HIIT, dumbbells, pilates, bootcamp). I like when someone tells me what to do, because it's so hard to come up with a routine and not get bored. My gym is coed, but for some reasons not as many guys take these classes, but the ones that do are definitely very respectful. You should look into a gym that offers group exercise classes.

I’ll throw an easy healthier eating tip out there for anyone scrolling and curious. I’ve been losing some weight steadily since doing this. Just identify your food weakness (you know what it is!) and cut down on it and add veggies to your meals. For example I know my weakness is carbs. I started being more conscious of how many servings I’m having a day, and also I will take a top piece of bread off a sandwich or take off half of my side of rice at Panda Express. My BF has a major sweet tooth so he cut down on sodas and ice cream. We both definitely still indulge every now and then, just less often! You’d be surprised how easy it is once you’re in the swing. Good luck and never restrict how many veggies you’re eating :)

@@celestezuzic3789 @Celeste Zuzic i have no issue with her preferences or personal journey. And i like avrey and her content. Its just these types of health videos are usually served with mismatching body positivity advice. Id love to see an influencer say you dont need to lose weight to be confident and then actually follow through. Instead I feel like i see people do the opposite and then justify it by saying its just what they personally felt they had to. Yes theres mental health and other very valid reasons but it just seems like its all intertwined with socially acceptable ways to continue conceding to unhealthy body standards.

Organic foods are so important for health too especially leaning more toward plant based lifestyles, if it gets expensive for some to afford I recommend looking into which fruits and vegetables are most susceptible to soaking up all those juicy pesticides and which have the greatest protection and choosing to half and half the experience like I’ll get non organic avocados but never a non organic peach, the difference in nutrition levels/ what the food actually holds in it not how it looks outwardly is insane.. and the simple fact of our bodies are not meant to be chemically loaded with pesticides.. but I get some are down with that.. it’s just the food has been so degraded through the way we have cropped and gardened that now we need ‘organic’ just to get actual nutrition. Highly recommend looking into this topic myself!

Lifting is a lot harder in the beginning than after your body gets used to, and gaining muscle is really not that easy and drastic as most women tend to think, a women who lifts moderately doesn’t look all that different from any other woman, but having muscle mass helps you stay lean because it helps burn calories without having to eat ridiculously small amounts of food. If you’re feeling ill with a certain diet definitely talk to a nutritionist to see if there is a way to achieve your goals in a healthier manner no one should struggle with eating to be healthy, there is always a better way. The thing is most work out/diet things aimed at women on media are just wrong, “toning” isn’t real it’s just gaining muscle and losing fat, which are separate things, and working out doesn’t make you lose weight, calorie deficit is what does and that’s like 99% diet. Anything that’s telling you will spot reduce is lying to you. It is confusing but learning what the buzzwords are helps to understand who is just trying to sell things to you and who is actually putting out decent information, but in the end nothing is going to be as helpful as actually going to the doctor who can attend to your needs specifically and not some general article on the internet, but I understand that’s not a possibility for everyone.

I’m 30 and a couple years ago a man in his 60s started hitting on me, so I asked him what he thinks might be wrong with him that he needs to hit on women SO much younger than him and if it was because he felt like he wasn’t good enough for women his own age. He never hit on me again and we actually formed a sort of friendship 😂

Men are attracted to younger women. It's always been like that. Has nothing to do with being 'good enough'.

Why do you have such an issue with age?
@athenaella6554
@athenaella6554 3 жыл бұрын
@@Ben-xl7fq personally not wanting to date a man much older is not an issue with age and you should get over it. There are many reasons why you wouldn’t want to date a man 10-30 years older, it’s not because they’re gross and old, because older people are not those things, it’s because of compatibility.

Ive always struggled with my weight my whole life. I am constantly in the range of being 10 pounds to heavy. Like to get to a healthy weight for my height I need to loose just 10-15 pounds which isnt a lot but its super hard for me. I get intense cravings before my period so I binge a lot. BUT I recently found a women lead gym, I live in San Francisco which means lots of dude bros at the gym and also all gym are HELLA expensive. However this gym is crazy priced and its all small classes which mainly women and a few gay men and i've been doing it 2 times a week. I know it will take awhile to see a difference though :) Its classes based so if I work out 4 days a week for 3 weeks thats $348. So going often will hurt my wallet 😬

hey love this video, the best way to get in shape is to gain muscle and eat lots of protein, you dont have to lift super heavy but the more muscle the more u accelerate your methabolism, u should listen to the podcast mindpump, super usefull.
