lil dishwashing tip: when it comes to stuff like oatmeal that hardens up, you can fill up the bowl with water when u leave it in the sink so that when you eventually get around to cleaning it. it's softened.

She's doesn't even have a storage problem. She has a lot of clothes, but the rest of her apartment (and her closest too) is gigantic and not that cluttered tbh. Meanwhile me sitting in my one room full of clutter😂

@3:48 if you want hot water. Go to the water heater and turn up the heat on the water heater. In most cases someone turned it down (landlord) and then never turned it back up. otherwise it needs to be replaced. Most city law include standard temps for hot water as a basic necessity that the landlord must provide. Basically, if you can't turn up the heat on the hot water, the heater has to be replaced.

Pro-tip: Spray a little non-stick cooking spray on the oatmeal bowl before putting the oatmeal/cooking the oatmeal in the bowl. All you will need to do is rinse the bowl when you're done. No more oatmeal concrete.

You can put shelving in your storage room up high over the clothes rail or wall cabinets to store the bigger stuff like the cooler. And attach lights on the bottom of the shelves to shine down on your clothes or wall cabinets. Different color LEDs or just to make the room brighter to see what your looking at. The cable management ikea sells plastic tubing that combines all the wiring to a white cylinder look so it’s not wiring chaos happening on your floor.

to solve your cord bundle issue: get a wooden crate, put a long side on the floor with the bottom facing out, place the cords inside, then push it against the wall. if you need to access them regularly this might not be too practical but it hides a lot

I have hard water where I live and even with a water filter my tub will start to get orange in some spots. Bar keepers friend is a miracle worker!! Use it on the tub and it should remove the rust!

i think she lives in utah but you can find an old apartment like that in most states, you just have to search for "pre-war" homes with original details. in NYC there's a lot of then, mine is similar but smaller

Next time you should try filling the bowl with soap and water and letting sit. If you don't have time to rinse it out or wash it just fill it. My family does that with bowls, pots, pans, etc all the time and it usually works.
