I’ve attracted partners who were detrimental to my mental and emotional health throughout my life. Now that I’m older, I’ve been focusing on healing my emotional and mental health, and I’ve been shedding those people who do not show respect and demonstrate love and compassion not just towards me but to all creatures. I just dumped a person whom I considered to be a friend for not showing a genuine interest in having a relationship with me, but sought me as a source of things. I’m happy to be with and by myself. I’m learning to love myself at 60, and I am assured I will die happy. I chose to listen to this video on Valentine’s Day, and to celebrate love for myself. Thank you Nada for your beautiful insights. I listen to you every morning and you always brings me joy.

My pattern of being and attracting avoidant types really started changing once I started thinking of potential romantic interests the same way I think about potential friends. This among other things really changed everything as I have very high standards when it comes to friendship, and I would not want to date someone who can't first and foremost be a great friend to me, vice versa. Now I am in the longest, happiest and healthiest "situationship" I have ever been in. :)

I grew up with a narcissistic father who cheated on my mother lots of times and has physically harmed her and me. As much as I wanted to find a man unlike my father I fell for men exactly like my father therefore my love life has been one tragedy after another! I didn’t understand why I gave up many good guys who pursued me during my college years and ended up chasing after bad boys. but now that you mentioned because of familiarity that I found comfort in and because I didn’t believe a good guy will stick around too long I always felt it’s safer to remain with an abusive partner. It’s sad how many women are insecure like me and don’t love themselves enough to accept good men into their lives. I find your videos very helpful to help me change my life for the better. Thank you for your honesty about your personal experiences and for generously sharing your wisdom.

Spot on. When I married my husband I choose him because he was 100% different than my father. I purposely made a choice to not go with "my type". 23 years of marriage and I still love him.

Thanks for sharing. I've been single for many years and it's been so peaceful although not always fun. I've had much time to contemplate myself, my reasons and options for a romantic relationship. It's been exactly what I needed. :)

You are a living validation for rare people like us here. I know that validation we shud learn to give ourselves but it's just sometimes we r not in that state and u act as the right trigger to get us back on track , to basically recognise within us , our worth and values , that we already knew .

Another video worth sharing indeed. My thought that I would say is also true, not to sound negative, I tend to think as I'm typing this that there is a third factor that I've considered and that is how I perceive or relate to the "drama" of the "world" and likewise her current thoughts and perception or relationship with her world. So I'm simply saying in any friendship platonic or not between two people there individual levels of consciousness may or may not be a third factor to consider.

I think the world is designed for things to go wrong because it's a school here so conflict guide us in the direction of self development and wisdom. It's all conspiring to grow you. If things went well all the time they'd be boring and we'd end it and learn nothing from them.

I grew up seeing an anime show called Inuyasha and was and still very attracted to the main character called well Inuyasha and he’s not a very nice guy he have those good things I look for and also a lot of bad thing and recently I started dating a guy and he’s totally different from the ones I’ve dated before and truly as you say it’s not very interesting to me we only went out to one date he was so thoughtful and kind but I just didn’t felt it and I kissed him and that’s something I don’t do in first dates and I didn’t felt it and I’ve come to realise that one of the many reasons is that i look for guys that are like him but he’s an anime character he is not real and characters can change and it’s a story not real life and that’s one reason out of many that I keep finding in emotionally and spiritually draining relationships and that maybe the idea of if Inuyasha and Kagome went 7 seasons 4 movies and another final season to be together maybe it’s worth all the bad things because eventually it will be good

Btw found your channel one year ago with the video of letting people dislike you and it was the same toxic situation with the same guy and now a year later it’s over (the whole ordeal not only the relationship)for the final time and I found it hard to accept moving on and your video came around and I started watching more of your videos and found it very helping spiritually and emotionally so thank you🙏🏻
