Hey mate im in the process of doing a mrp 9age also did you end up using the 16valve pump with all the extras from SQ engineering( porting/toda gear/ pressure mod)

Hello, that looks fantastic, what makes it a 9-AGE please as opposed to a 7-AGE? Cheers, and how did it run?

Nathan Elcoate Tanks man 😊 Its a 7A block, but it have a MRP crank with longer stroke. Then its called 9A. Check out manon racing product, they have awesome parts 😉 The engine its not running yet

Cool Project! It is curious that the TODA header is installed on the LHD chassis. Did you have no issues or did you have to make a modification?
@Evolution20v Жыл бұрын
Thanks 😊 This one is my friends engine. He bought the late type of TODA header, this one fit LHD cars. I bought an early type for my own project, this only fit RHD cars. I have dropped the engine 10mm, moved the steering rack 10mm to the right and will fit a 10mm spacer between the head and the manifold. This should clear the steering column 🤞 Otherwise I will modify the pipes a bit.

Do you have a photo of the front of the block before the oil pump went on I believe you missed somthing

@mtperformanceengines35084 жыл бұрын
@@Evolution20v yeah very important when using a 4a pump on a 7a block you must port the block and pump housing so the oil gallery lines up otherwise it's half restricted, use a gasket to confirm but I think i have photos if you like i can email them to you

how did this work out? superb build
@ferencarva28213 жыл бұрын
Maybe I'm wron but..for me it looks like a 4A-GE. Below I saw you said it's a 7A-GE engine block but it only has 4 pistons..it looked like an in-line 4.
@Evolution20v3 жыл бұрын
Its a Frankenstein engine. The block are a 1.8L 7A-FE. The head is a bigport 4A-GE 16v. Then it have stroker crank so it end up as a 1960cc engine. Manon Racing Products in New Zealand sell this stroker kit and named it 9A-GE 😉

Александр Texnik-kot we don’t know yet, but hopefully alot 😛 Most interesting will be how the torque band will look. Cams have high lift, but not crazy durations, long stroke and really long intake and 4-2-1 exhaust. The recipe on a torque engine 😋

@@Evolution20v i'm asking because i plan to do the same only with the "normal" crank ,my doubt is if i should use the 7a or the 4a ? In your opinion which is best ?
@Evolution20v4 жыл бұрын
Francisco Pereira try google 7A conversion, there is a few useable articles, it not that easy as it sounds. The MRP 7A stroker kit are a 1,9 displacement, but they also offer a 5A stroker kit, thats a 1,7 displacement in a 4A block.

Pity you use plasti-gauge. A build of this quality should be using micrometers, only way to be accurate
@matthewbussy4 жыл бұрын
Not necessarily. Plasti gauge does the job just fine. I use both, as a double measure of quality control to make sure the readings are actually what they are showing. Plastogauge has its advantages just like micrometers have their disadvantages
@ZDoman4 жыл бұрын
@@matthewbussy it wasn’t clear by your video: did you plastigauge your crank with mrp girdle together? Also the oil sump bolts tightened around?
