Tips for off-roading on Kingston Peak and Loch Lomond:
Make sure your vehicle is in good condition and that you have all the necessary equipment, including a 4x4 system, high-clearance, and off-road tires.
Be aware of the weather conditions and road closures. The roads to Kingston Peak and Loch Lomond are often closed due to snow and other hazardous conditions.
Pack plenty of food and water, and let someone know where you're going and when you expect to be back.

I drove from halfway across the country to go wheel in Colorado. We drove and saw many great places. But we tried to go to Loch Lomond... In mid July.... and it was still closed for snow. We go up to the gate and had to turn back. We did Chins Lake next door.
