I can almost guarantee very few citizens have video captured an F-35 doing a vertical hoover/landing. Awesome!!

RAF Marham, "Deter" a legendary base & good to see in action. F35s, oh how I love the great debate, 'does one like them, does one not'? However, must say the vertical hovering is something else & great to see it following its predecessor the mighty Harrier. Berets off to our fab pilots, good job well presented 👍❤.

Oii Oii Margo 🤙🏼 Well, we love the F35. The lift fan in the F-35B is a Rolls-Royce LiftFan, a 50-inch, two-stage counter-rotating fan capable of generating more than 20,000 lbf of thrust, is driven from a conventional gas turbine and produces the forward vertical lift. Oohhh yeah

I realise that RAF Marham can be a little quiet due to several mitigating circumstances but its great to see them performing the vertical landings and hovering. Whether you're a fan or not of this aircraft? You cannot fail to be impressed. F35 in any guise is OK by me. F35 and Typhoon my 2 favs. 9:32 Just that sound. Nicely filmed Ted and Nikos. No:- 771

You can't really mistake them for any other aircraft when they have the 'toilet lid' raised 🙂 I guess this was filmed in early-mid July. The weather looked so much better back then.
@TedConingsby Жыл бұрын
It was indeed July but it was such strong winds that day. The ‘Toilet Lid’ you refer to is the ‘lift fan’, part of the mechanism that goes towards keeping the aircraft to hover
