Awesome Multiple Species Day at the Pueblo Reservoir! (BIG FISH!)

I went out to the Pueblo Reservoir a couple weeks ago in hopes of catching basically anything that would bite, & I definitely didn't go home disappointed! I ended up on several fish of multiple species, & the majority were nice fish. Stay tuned to see what all I caught & how I got it done!

The Pueblo cats do love blue gill but if you can get your hands on a perch, it’s like cat cocaine

That's the experience I've had, but perch are such good meat fish I usually put them back to grow & catch bluegill or sunnies instead lol

Southern Colorado actually has some of the best catfishing in the state. I'm not really keeping too many secrets about them lol. If you know their behaviors, they're usually pretty easy to find from the banks during the warmer months.

I yes to fish the res all the time in the 80's! Gonna give it a try today and your videos been getting me pumped. Come to Kentucky and I can put you on Laurel river leave for a chance at the world record small mouth. It was shocked up and released at 12 plus in 2013! We can go below the dam and catch stripers too. Been seeing a lot of KZbinrs out there. I'll hook you up with a place to stay if you went to East or at least did not go to South lol.

Dude that spot and the exact opposite spot in relation to the boat dock are awesome (so, more west of the dock there is a point that sticks out) My fish finder says shore castable waters over there about 35-45' deep. Beautiful cat man! Nice fatty. 🤘Actually just recently caught walleye over there off good ol worm.

Thank you sir! That's actually really good info for me, since I haven't experimented much with those points/coves off to the west. I hit the dam riprap on the south side last last night around dark & got on a pretty good topwater bite with the spook too 👍

@@AllmouthBassing after walking west from south boat dock for a few minutes, once you get over there, you'll notice it turns into a straight shoreline directed south, its right after a good point to get deep, there's a good little cove over there (noticable), albeit a bit of vegetation, I know you'll enjoy. I've seen heavy bass and walleye caught over there and my daughter even caught a towel (yes.) Nice open shoreline to dispurse some pole holders and minimal rocks compared to Northshore. Keep up good work man!

You do not need to toss them like that in shallow water. Just lay them on they’re side and they will shuffle out by themselves.

You can't really tell from the footage, but the water in that spot was less than like 3 inches deep until about 4 feet out. I just figured it'd be gentler on the fish to hit the surface of the deeper water than to scrape its scales off all those rocks trying to get back out there. You can see from most of my releases that I usually do release them the way you're suggesting 👍
