I talked to Next level racing regarding the stitching on the seat and they replied : "Usually in a situation like this we would immediately send over a replacement seat express to the customer."

One cheap solution for the fasteners (and maybe even some smaller parts as well), would be to have them in a labelled plastic organizer.
@jackmcslay Жыл бұрын
@@CMDR_CLASSIFIED Putting them in good quality ziploc bags and labelling them would be a simple and effective enough solution. putting the parts in a molded plastic card seems like an extra hassle to put together just to make a hassle to the buyer and maybe marginal reduction in the package size

i cant seem to pull trigger on next level racing flight yet i have wardbird d and cm3 with both alpha prime cons left and right hand but i cant even use dem yet since i dont have a rig or mounts kit yet as ive done my research so far monstertech seems to be the better choice and seems have better quailty build and adjustabiltiy but i do like nlr but it just looks so cheap monster tech or NLR ? i seems leaning on the monster tech they have cool slide rail mounts and table mounts and also sim flgiht pit alummiun frames what you think ?

ok, It would be nice except for one Glaring issue for my tastes, NO ARM RESTS! For me, I Need arm support when using my HOSAS setup, Holding my elbows in mid air for hours unend is a no go. My home made set up of a IKEA recliner where I made my own platforms attached to the chairs arms to hold the controller hardware is by far more comfortable then the folded steel your show casing. (See my profile page for the Chair. But That video is several years old and Ive upgraded to a newer VKB control set.) The only downside is that I have to switch between the Chair and my Computer desk as I switch between Flying and FPS in the same game (Star Citizen) as I do not yet have a solution for keeping a keyboard in a stable and comfortable setting like I get using my desk. I also need a bigger monitor :) though I'm saving up for a good VR headset to take care of both the small monitor half way across the room problem along with still not having head tracking :) one thing at a time though, Money is tight in Biden's Economy!

With the one I ordered and have. I used an xacto knife and cut around each of the set of bolts, washers and screws. Not cutting around the edge of whole thing and opening it. Also was nice to do, for the fact that I could place painters tape over the top when done. As there are lot of extras. I then can go back and find a size I am looking for. Just a tip for opening something like this. Worked very well for me. Just be mindful that the plastic top is sharp once cut.

This, by far is the most descriptive and explicit videos of these seats. Great job. I was looking possibly purchasing on but freight charges are through the roof. In my case, freight alone will cost almost as much as the seat itself. Not worth it, but a great and enjoyable video. Thanks.

I've actually considered _building_ something like this out of wood because it would be less expensive and could be more attractive than just matte black metal. I'm still working out dimensions though. I need something that gives me that sim-pit functionality but doesn't take up a lot of room.
@CMDR_Padoh Жыл бұрын
Astro, will you be using any of this in your setup? Curious to see how it actually looks in situ so to speak.
@donaldlessner196 Жыл бұрын
I agree with everything; especially working with the nuts and bolts. And the storage of the extra parts for use in the future for future setups is difficult with their packaging. Also note that there aren't pre-drilled holes for the Honeycomb yoke and throttle, and they are therefore not the easiest to attach.

I open each 'compartment' of the bolts with scissors individually. Just cut a slit in the 'top' of each, and then pull the bolts/washers out when you need them. It would be nice to know how this compares to the NLR Boeing Flight Sim Rig, which is about $450 CAD cheaper than this setup.

I do like the seat. I’ve been trying all kinds of DIY setups. I wonder if there is a way to do quick release to take the HOTAS off for other games. I play a lot of stuff.
@Skychaser67 Жыл бұрын
I have the Next Level Racing Lite cockpit chair (the foldable one), its a oke product for the money just the mounts for the Hotas are realty far apart. It gets uncomfortable fast playing Elite with my arms so wide, i like the Hotas to be more at shoulder with. This seat you are reviewing seems to have the same issue or is it possible to move the mounting plates up and inward?

This is what deserves to be called a gamer chair.

Hi mate. Good review. A question, is a posibility to mount a direct drive wheel in the seat?? Thanks

If the mounting plates are the same as the Boeing seat plates then vkb will only match 2 holes

Keyboard on the right really does my head in. Are there any setups that have mouse and keyboard in the correct positions or can they be changed?

Honestly, for 1200€ the flaws shouldnt exist. Especially the chair part has to be perfect.

do you know if NLR has the military version (OD green one) for the seat only?

I appreciated your review. I have been researching this sim chair and feel ready to commit after your excellent video. I recall seeing your video about Virgil products although I purchased WinWing products. I awaited for Amazon to have the items listed in Cdn $2300 including taxes delivered to my door. Must not forget this includes the 3 monitor stand. I trust this gives people an idea. I have been eyeing the Boeing chair I prefer the PRO set up. Again many thanks for the video.🎉😅

Can you switch the side plates? I am thinking that the left hand (for me) does less than the right hand.
@helimx11 ай бұрын
Uh? The right hand plate is the bigger plate.
@helimx11 ай бұрын
Actually. I just noticed something. Watching it as I type this. If you look at a few clips it seems to switch sides. 😮 I'm assuming part of this was filmed on a phone, which sometimes mirror images the video. 🤷

How much is the price in Danish money?
@se7hix Жыл бұрын
what I think!?! I think this came from my idea that I've sent them through an email 6 months ago(I have it to prove and already did a post on twitter with it) and not even a thank you note, a discount coupon or whatsoever and besides that, wtf are those prices.... sigh... thank you for your review.

Interesting product. No swivel on the chair? My guess is it's a hot day in Denmark.

It's a sim chair not an office chair. The last thing you'd want in a sim setup is your chair swivelling around.

The Stitching is troubling.If it was my company I would have hand picked the seat and stand because it would be reviewed on KZbin. QC must have been on break when your seat was inspected. Good concept poor workmanship where management is also at fault. I would expect nothing less than a replacement or I would do a chargeback and send the seat back.
