Awesome over 50 The problem with a separate list is, if you do a video with another product, we won’t know which one you used in the video we liked. Too confusing.

I was a natural redhead who freckled and burned as soon as I stepped out of my door, so I stayed away from the sun most of my life. Now I have white hair and very fair skin and invisible eyebrows, and also very few wrinkles from sun damage. I'm going to be 76 in a month and I don't want to try to look younger than I am. I just want to look as good as I can for the age that I am. I've watched you from your first video - please keep them coming. Thank you, thank you, thank you for showing us how to enhance our best features with makeup without looking like clowns!

OMG!!!Heather, you are such a breath of fresh air. You're so bubbly. You are a beautiful 62years young woman. I'm a 54years young woman and you are an inspiration to & for me. Thank you for being real&sharing your secrets of beauty&well-being for those of us who are over 50&don't feel our age. I'm growing older gracefully, as well. My hair is natural (no dyes here), I've embraced my lines&other little nuisances that mysteriously appear. The only thing now is for me to get a grip on my changing body symmetry. Some of the changes I've got a handle on & others, well; still work to be done. I look forward to your upcoming videos, your awesome. Your little pooch is simply adorable. Be well & God bless you.:)

Hi......I was thrown off when you said you were advised not to mention the names of the products you used in the video 🤔 I never heard anyone say that before. The idea of the videos are to help your subscribers and if they like what you used they may want to purchase it. By not doing so it isn’t very helpful to us 🙁 just thought I needed to mention that ❤️

Hi, I now link back to my blog with the products. I've been advised not to mention trademarked names on the videos without approval from the companies. I could have my videos taken down in the future for trademark or copy right laws and that would break my heart. Heather

Thank you so much for these videos! I'm 33 and after many years of tanning and I used to smoke 😬, it has really aged my skin. I always looked younger than my age but over the past few years I've really noticed a huge change. I have so many wrinkles and dark circles. I'm fairly new to makeup, usually I just wore foundation in the past sometimes. Oh and I have a pretty significant droopy eye so it makes eye makeup a challenge and I stopped wearing it. I watched your other video for that and I'm so happy for those tips! I've noticed my foundation has just made my wrinkles (esp the eye area) look so much worse so again I'm so thankful for the tips for that too! I got online to find any tips thinking maybe I might get a little help but you are a life saver. Now I feel confident in applying make up and looking natural and beautiful. I can't wait until I have the time to really get into and watch all your videos. I've watched other makeup tutorials and being new at it, I never get it looking right but you take the time to explain it so well. You have such a fun, sweet and funny personality so it's a nice experience watching you. I never leave comments, in fact this is my first one but I just had to let you know I'm so thankful for your help. You were a beautiful model and you are beautiful now. Sorry for turning this comment into a book!!

Nicole, I loved your comment. I actually got goosebumps (I'm serious). I did a lighter foundation makeup tutorial, here it is kzbin.info/www/bejne/nKbIn6Btp62Weq8 . I find that liquid foundation sometimes does emphasis my wrinkles but a foundation/powder combo (usually sold in compacts) just sits lightly on the skin. The other big lifesaver I've found is to just lightly apply concealer under the eyes and instead of powder put on the white cream that I used. You can get different versions of this but the one I use can usually be found at drug store mine was from Revlon and it's called Photoready Prime and the color was 010 Clear Transparent. Thank you so much for taking the time to write your comment and we share something in common, I can write a book as a comment too, LOL, Heather

Cute personality. Thanks for reminding us of the makeup sponges we use to use years ago. I had been using a makeup brush and recently started to use the beauty type blender. I think the old makeup sponges leave a smoother finish and using a damp one uses less product. I am going to try putting concealer on first. I love the natural curl in your hair. Why would you ever want to straighten it? :). I would like to learn more about how to transition to my new natural hair color. My coloring is close to yours. I am 60. I put my hair in a pony tail often and kind of want to go short but have not taken the plunge. Well, good luck on your channel. Deb

Hi Deb, thanks for all the thoughtful comments. I'm sure they help others who watch this channel. A best friend of mine was watching my 2 1/2 day vacation video and saw my curly hair (it's naturally curly) and said "why don't you ever wear it natural?" so now I did. If your hair is close to my color, is it coming in white and silvery? I let my hair roots grow out for 6 months to see if I liked it, it's still in transition but I love it now. All the best to you Deb and thanks if you're a subscriber, much appreciated, Heather

Hi Heather! I am a 51 year-old nurse practitioner and wanted to encourage you to get a full skin check up, and to make sure you follow up annually. When you showed us the "freckle" on your left eye, I was somewhat concerned. It looks like actinic keratosis (AK) to me, which is a precursor to basal skin cancer. These spots WILL fade with a prescription retinoid like Tazorac. If you do use a prescription strength retinoid, cleanse with hydrating cleanser like Cerave and moisturizer like Simple moisturizer. I had the same issues as you with my skin for years of abusing my skin in the sun. I used products from Makeup Artist Choice aka MUAC (I am NOT affiliated with them). I went with them because their products are formulated in an FDA/EPA registered laboratory and are certified/registered. -- I also had help from their experts along with reading reviews/directions/research -- over a period of a year I did 3 TCA 12.5% peels, Lactic Acid serum, Vit C serum, but after a few peels my skin is clear of all past sun damage. It also really helped with texture and wrinkles! Oh, and I did the same treatments on my hands and chest. It has been about 5 yrs and as long as I use mineral SPF daily, Vit C in the morning and Retin A at night, those spots have not returned. Now, if I could just TRULY treat broken capillaries at home I would be ecstatic! 🙏

Thanks so much Heather for doing this for us -- indeed naming the products would be helpful in future otherwise what's the point? I had to write to recommend PAULA'S CHOICE online skin care /makeup products because they correct the issues you mentioned: pigmentation, sensitivity, bumps, wrinkles etc., and just read the testimonials -- they'll take back any product you don't like anytime, they have chat agents to help with issues so you get the right product and they're the real deal. I've used them for over 10 yrs. I think you'd like them too and may not know that PAULA researches every makeup/skin care product out there, in Beautypedia (on her site) so you can check her assessment before buying it. She's saved me alot of grief. Hope this helps. You light up a room!

Heather, I think the curl in your hair is flattering. Many gals get perms to look like you do naturally. Enjoy the curl girl! How long does it take you to do your full makeup with so many products? I wonder is primer is that important. I've never used it before.
@lovingourage
@lovingourage 7 жыл бұрын
Hi, I think a cream primer is important because it helps the matching foundation to set but also works like a day cream moisturizing under your makeup. I can do my entire makeup in less than 10 minutes (probably 5 when I'm not talking about it on camera) He's my 10 minute makeup routine as a video so you can see how I did it. I'm using MAC Studio Sculpt SPF15 in this video but smooth just a little bit on a thin sponge and apply in sections or it will look too thick. Thanks so much Cathy for the kind remarks. I haven't done a video on bags under the eyes yet. I also wake up with congestion and I microwave a heating magic bag and put it on my neck and when it's a bit cooler my forehead. I don't know if I'm doing things right or wrong (maybe check with a professional) but I usually have to do this almost daily with allergies and congestion and I don't see bags under my eyes. If we can lessen the look of the bags it would help so much more than applying makeup, Heather

Found the anti-shine cream on facebook...I love it! So much better than powder since powder makes wrinkles appear more prominent. If aging in overdrive time to put on the brakes a bit. You can do this with some camoflaging make-up, moisturizing each night but above all confidence with your new look. We can't stop time or how we now look but we can embrace it as the new "look". As a former 80's model it's been tough to see wrinkles, hooded eyes and age spots but I wouldn't want to be 20 again so I'm embracing it. Hope this helps to start loving the new you, after-all it's still "you " (and we always have a little help from the makeup counter) Heather
