Was a smart play. He sprayed where thompson had to be not where he was. Don't see a penalty but the way the refs have been this season the call could've went either way. The fact vegas didn't respond to it seems like they knew it was a smart play.

I do not want to hear any excuse from VGK about how they played last night in NYC and lost the game. Go back to January 14th, when the Wings arrived 90 minutes before game time after having spent the night at Detroit City Airport stranded and on the road end of a back-to-back and beat TML in their own building. Christian Fischer technically didn’t have any points in this game, but he was why Copp was able to score that 4th goal. The guy is such an unsung hero for the team. I hope Stevie resigns him. Can play anywhere in the lineup. He’s probably the hardest backchecker on the team, forechecks hard and has some offensive abilities too, as he has shown in Arizona. Not that many points this year d/t utilization mostly. I was thrilled when he was signed after following him in AZ and knew fans would grow to appreciate his game too.

Fischer - Copp - Ras line has been very good for the past couple of weeks. They have the ability to score and are responsible defensively. All kill penalties, and good for them. .

Our 3rd line has been a Grind-Line lite. Not on the same level of Maltby-Draper-McCarty, but the spirit is there.

Not many people seem to point out his backchecking; good call on that one. I'm coaching 8U and 10U right now, and I'm trying to teach all our young players that getting back to play defense is EVERYONE'S responsibility, not just the defensemen.

I started watching when I was about 12-13 years old. I just turn 23. I was at the last ever playoff win to date 2-0 against the lightning. It feels like it’s been my whole life since they have been good through all that time I’ve watched every single game around 10 live. Heck saw them in Columbus won 4-0 we have never lost while I saw them live (besides one ot loss) But what I’m getting at is, it makes me emotional seeing us become an actual team again. The fact they only let in those 2 really random goals VS vegas, is insane. Detroit if not for the bullshit hit by Ottawa and the suspension.... would be in first or second place, honestly. They're just as good as anyone and teams are NOT gonna wanna play them in the playoffs.
